CHICKEN BARBECUE
Craley Community Fire Company and East Prospect Lions Club will hold a chicken barbecue fundraiser at the Craley Fire Hall, 73 New Bridgeville Road, Craley, on Saturday, April 13, beginning at 11 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine. The cost of a meal will include a half-chicken, a baked potato, applesauce, and a roll. Meals will be available for carryout. However, individuals interested in free delivery within the Lower Windsor Township area may call Don Fake at 717-244-9245 during the week leading up to the event, or they may call the fire hall at 717-244-1999 on the day of the event.

SVCC Schedules Food Sampling Fundraiser Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce (SVCC) will offer A Taste of River Towns, a restaurant fair, on Sunday, April 28, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s Herr Estate, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia.
The event will feature samplings of food and beverages from area restaurants. Attendees will be able to taste menu items ranging from egg rolls to fried shrimp. Beverages, bananas Foster and chocolate-covered strawberries will
also be offered. Tickets are limited. They may be purchased at the SVCC Visitor Center, 445 Linden St., Columbia, or St. John’s Herr Estate. Tickets are also available by visiting https://visitsusquehannavalley.com/

CRAFT CLASS
Mount Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church, 5615 Mount Pisgah Road, York, will hold its monthly craft class on Thursday, April 18, at 1 p.m. Participants will create a spring wreath for their door. Supplies will be furnished for a small fee. Reservations are requested by Monday, April 15, by calling Sandy Abel at 717-751-6437. EGG HUNT
Ironville United Methodist Church (UMC) will host a children’s Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. All children ages 1 to 12 are welcome to attend. Participants should bring their own baskets. The church is located at 4020 Holly Drive, Columbia.
ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., York, will host an Easter Egg-stravaganza on Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. The event, geared toward children in preschool through fifth grade, will begin with the VeggieTales movie “An Easter Carol.” Light refreshments will be served. Following the movie, there will be three separate egg hunts for various age groups. Egg hunts will begin at 2, 2:15, and 2:30 p.m. and will be separated by age, beginning with preschoolers through first-graders and ending with students in grades four and five. Susquehanna Rivertowns Weekend To Feature Walking, Biking Options The Susquehanna Rivertowns Weekend, featuring three walking events and a bike event, will take place on Friday, April 26, to Sunday, April 28, regardless of the weather. Walks, which will highlight historic sites, will be offered in Columbia, sponsored by Penn Dutch Pacers Volksmarch Club; Marietta,
sponsored by Susquehanna Rovers; and Wrightsville, sponsored by York White Rose Wanderers. The biking event, offering 15K to 35K options, will take place in Columbia. Chapter To Honor Hall Of Fame Inductees The Susquehanna Valley Area Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame will hold its annual induction ceremony and banquet on Saturday, May 4, at Four Seasons Banquet Facility, 949 Church St., Landisville. The event will begin with social time at 5:30 p.m., and the banquet will start at 6 p.m.
During the banquet, the chapter will honor six inductees: Pete Horn, George Kennedy, Doug Givler, Stephen Beck, Barbara Barr, and Barry Stumpf. There is a per-person fee to attend the banquet. Friends Of The Library Plan Book Sale By Francine Fulton
Books lovers of all ages are invited to stock up on their favorite reading materials and sweet treats at the Friends of the Kreutz Creek Library’s semiannual book and bake sale on Friday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale, featuring at least 20,000 gently used books, will be held at the Hellam Township Public Works Building, 44 Walnut Springs Road, Hellam, located next to the library.
