The NAWCC National Watch and Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia, will host a TimeTalk on Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m. to noon. The free talk will be held in the theater at the museum’s Fortunat Mueller-Maerki Library and Research Center. 73 New Bridgeville Road, Craley, will hold its third annual Sportsman’s Bingo on Saturday, March 23. At 5 p.m., the doors will open and food will be available. Games will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event will include 20 games of bingo, plus door prize opportunities and giveaway drawings. Two special games will be available for an additional charge. Prizes will include hunting, fishing, and camping gear; guns; and meat bundles. Tickets are available for a discount in advance by calling Bob at 717-244-5237 or Sid at 717-252-1622. The Columbia VFW, 401 Manor St., will sponsor a community health screen from 7 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. The comprehensive blood testing includes complete blood count (CBC), HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), electrolytes, and glucose, along with liver, kidney, and coronary risk profiles. Individuals will have a copy of their blood test results mailed to their home address. There is a cost for the health screen, with optional screenings available for an additional fee. Payment may be made by cash, check, or money order. To preregister, call 800-776-6342 on Mondays through Fridays between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Masons Plan Pie Fundraiser
Broadway Knights To Present “Legally Blonde”
Local Masons will once again volunteer to bake 4,000 pies this year in support of the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Lancaster. The spring and fall fruit pie sales generate approximately 40 percent of the center’s annual operating budget. Spring pie orders will be accepted through Wednesday, March 13, and will be available for pickup just in time for Easter on Wednesday, April 17, between 2 and 6 p.m. at various distribution points throughout Lancaster County, including Ephrata, Mount Joy, Elizabethtown, Quarryville, and Lancaster. Pies will be available fresh or frozen in peach crumb, apple crumb, and cherry crumb varieties; pumpkin and sugar-free apple pies will also be available. Eastern York High School Broadway Knights will present “Legally Blonde: The Musical” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. All performances will be at the Eastern York High School Performing Arts Center, 720 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville. The fun, award-winning musical is based on the movie “Legally Blonde” and features songs and dances. It follows the transformation of Elle Woods, played by junior Libby Hardesty, as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Separate costs have been set for reserved-seating tickets for adults and for students. Wheelchair Drive To Benefit Wheels For The World Wheels for the World, a ministry of Joni and Friends, provides a free wheelchair, along with a Bible and the Gospel message, to children and adults affected by disability. The faithbased ministry collects used wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, cushions, and parts. Church Will Offer Thai Fest ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Ave., Hellam, will hold a Thai Fest from Friday to Sunday, March 8 to 10. The event is being held in conjunction with a visit from special guests Ed and Sue Danneker, missionaries from Thailand who are currently on home assignment. The weekend will begin on March 8 with a Thai tea with the Dannekers at the church at 6:30 p.m. The tea will be followed by dinner at a Thai restaurant in the York area. Participants will have the opportunity to try Thai cuisine, interact with the Dannekers and experience Thai culture as if they were going out for dinner in Bangkok, Thailand. Attendees will be responsible for their
