Basketball Tournament Will Support Scholarship Fund By Chelsea Peifer
Millersville Senior Center, 222 N. George St., Millersville, offers a yoga class on Tuesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. The class includes breathing exercise instruction, a gentle warm-up, and yoga postures that focus on muscle strength and flexibility. Students are able to work at their own pace. Participants are required to provide their own mats. The class is open to adults age 55 and older. The class will run through May. SEAFOOD FEST
5 Main St., Yorkana, will host an allyou-can-eat Seafood Fest on Saturday, March 21. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost of a meal will include steamed and fried shrimp, shrimp chowder, oyster stew, fried oysters, fried haddock, clam strips, baked flounder, chicken fingers, french fries, coleslaw, dessert, and a beverage. Takeout meals will also be available. Tickets will be discounted for children ages 6 to 12. Children age 5 and under may eat for free. Proceeds will benefit the mission trip this summer.

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St., York, will welcome four-time Grammy nominees and Puerto Rican-based musician ensemble Plena Libre to the Strand Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will celebrate the growing diversity of York and unite audiences through the power of music and dance. Moul To Serve As Guest Speaker At Men’s Resurrection Breakfast For the last seven years on the first Saturday of March, approximately 150 men from various churches throughout York County have gathered at Grace Baptist Church, 3920 East Prospect Road, York, for the annual Men’s Resurrection Breakfast. This year’s event will be held at the church on Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m. A buffet breakfast will be served, followed by a time of special music and a presentation by guest speaker Kelby Moul. A lifelong York County resident, Moul grew up in Spring Grove and has lived in Hanover for the last 23 years. He has been a teacher in the public schools for 25 years, having spent five years teaching second grade in the Eastern York School District and the last 20 years teaching fourth grade in South Western School District. Moul committed his life to Jesus

The 22nd annual Eastern York Dollars for Scholars (EYDFS) 3-on-3 basketball tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, beginning at 8 a.m. Games will be held in the gymnasiums at both Eastern York High School (EYHS), 720 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville, and Eastern York Middle School, 746 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville. Adults and youths in grades three through 12 are welcome to register for the tournament at www.eydfs.org/3on3bBasketball.aspx through Saturday, Feb. 29. Players must sign up in teams, and there is a set registration fee that includes a free tournament T-shirt for each player. After registering, each participant will receive an email requesting an approval of a waiver, which must be completed to play. Players under the age of 18
must have a parent or guardian approve the waiver. The tournament will consist of adult divisions for men and women, as well as various divisions for boys and girls in grades three through 12. All games will be refereed, and prizes will be awarded to winning teams in each division. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games. Basketballs will be provided, and players are asked to refrain from bringing their own basketballs into the gyms. New basketballs will be supplied this year. Organizer Sherrie Snyder said that each year a survey is sent out to participants after the tournament. Based on feedback from last year’s event - which had 98 teams competing - the men’s brackets have been revamped for 2020. “As before, we have men’s recreational and competitive, (and) we have added an over-30 bracket. All men on the team must be 30 or older to register for
Susquehanna Stage Company (SSC) will perform Katori Hall’s critically acclaimed two-person drama “The Mountaintop” on select dates from Friday, Feb. 14, to Sunday, Feb. 23 in the Eater Theater at the Marietta Center for the Arts, 133 W.
