Craley Community Fire Company, 73 New Bridgeville Road, Craley, will hold a Sportsman’s Bingo on Saturday, March 7. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and games will begin at 6:30 p.m. Food will be available. Tickets will be discounted when purchased in advance or full price at the door. York Youth Revolution Plans Annual Sweetheart Dinner And Dance By Chelsea Peifer
The York Youth Revolution (YYR), the youth group at Faith United Methodist Church (UMC) in Hallam, invites the community to an evening of food, fun, and fellowship at its eighth annual Sweetheart Dinner and Dance at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. The dinner portion of the event will take place at Faith UMC, 126 E. Market St., Hallam. Reservations are required, and interested individuals may call 717252-2539 to let organizers know how many guests will be attending. Admission will be by donation. Chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, rolls, dessert, and beverages are on the menu
for the evening. After dinner, people may walk or drive across the street to the Hellam Fire Company, 163 E. Market St., for the dance, which is set to begin at approximately 7:15 p.m. Live music will be performed by York County-based band The Modern Age. “We are so honored and grateful for the band to be playing for us,” said YYR youth leader Joe Bachman, adding that The Modern Age has been a big draw for attendees at the past several dances. “The band was organized in the 1970s and still has a big following. As soon as people hear Modern Age is playing (at the dance), the phone starts to ring,” Bachman continued. The annual Sweetheart Dinner and
The Modern Age will perform live music at the York Youth Revolution’s annual Sweetheart Dinner and Dance on Feb. 15. The evening will include dinner at Faith United Methodist Church followed by music and dancing across the street at Hellam Fire Company. Proceeds will support the Eastern York Group Workcamp Initiative happening from June 21 to 27. Dance, which has become a Valentine’s Day weekend tradition for some local

Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2020, and the yearlong celebration opened with volunteers throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe making thousands of comforters during The Great Winter
Kala Denlinger has always been a tidy person by nature, but it was not until a few years ago when more and more friends started asking for her help with home organization projects that she considered turning her penchant for organizing into a business. In 2019, Denlinger launched Simply D-Cluttered, offering her skills as a decluttering coach to anyone who may benefit from help as they attempt to get the spaces in their home or business

The event, “Support a Bond That Can’t Be Broken,” will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 6 to 11 p.m. at Columbia VFW, 401 Manor St., Columbia.
