The Lancaster Collaboration of Night to Shine is moving into the venue where event coordinator Joell Ketchum has always dreamt of hosting the event: Spooky Nook Sports, 75 Champ Blvd., Manheim. “It gives us a lot of space and growing room, explained Ketchum, who has planned the event for the past three years. The Lancaster Collaboration of Night to Shine is one of hundreds of events sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and held each year on the first Friday of February to create an unforgettable prom experience for people with special needs. This year’s Lancaster Collaboration of Night to Shine will be held from 5:45 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, in Olympic Hall at Spooky Nook Sports, while hundreds of other events are hosted simultaneously by volunteers at sites around the world. People age 14 and older with special needs are invited to attend and may register at www.gbclancaster.org/night2shine by Sunday, Jan. 26. Admission is free. The Lancaster Collaboration originally hosted Night to Shine at Grace Baptist Church of Lancaster before relocating to Manheim Brethren in Christ Church last year. According to Ketchum, 270 guests attended in 2019, and organizers are projecting 370 guests for 2020. Donations are still needed to support Night to Shine. “One hundred dollars covers one guest and their buddy, plus all of the activities that we offer, Ketchum said. See Night To Shine pg 2
