When Girls on the Run (GOTR) Lancaster program director Jennifer West and development director Sarah Yohe realized the caliber of some of the local organization’s volunteers last spring, they each wrote letters nominating some of them for the national Remarkable Volunteer Award given by GOTR International. The nonprofit, which promotes good choices for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living among girls, chooses 36 winners from hundreds of entries.

Imaan Rana was crowned 2020 homecoming queen at Conestoga Valley High School.
Caris Daneker, Ellie Livingston, Abigail Morley, Adrianna Neiman, Imaan Rana, Francesca Satiro, Isabella Silvaggio, and Kayla Wolf. The 2020 homecoming queen was Imaan Rana. She was crowned by 2019 homecoming queen Simonne Legette. Caris is the daughter of Daniel and Carolyn Daneker of Lancaster. At school, she is a member of National Honor Society (NHS), Science National Honor Society (SNHS), and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She also is a member of the Technology Student Association (TSA) and the choir. She takes part in drama, participates in the school television studio, and plays lacrosse. Outside school, she is a member of Scouts BSA, National Youth Leadership Training staff, and Venture Crew. Following graduation, she plans to earn a Master’s of Business Administration degree. Ellie is the daughter of Fin and Brooke Livingston of Lancaster. At school, Ellie is a member of Student
