According to Monica DePaul, director of the upcoming musical “The Secret Garden” at Cavod Theatre, the show is much loved among actors because of the strength of the musical score. “The music is so powerful it is like its own character,” remarked DePaul. “The music tells the story so well.” Cordell Huyard, director of Cavod Theatre, said he had been waiting for an opportunity to do the show since he first heard the music in high school. “As soon as (DePaul) mentioned (‘The Secret Garden’), I was on board,” said Huyard. “I love the music.” “The Secret Garden” will be staged at Cavod Theatre, 685 W.
