These duties include delivering product to and from work areas, utilizing the forklift and maintaining good record keeping of all paperwork associated with incoming and outgoing work. • Assisting in maintaining clean and orderly production storage area in compliance with OSHA standards. • Assisting with maintaining excellent quality control in the production area. • Assisting with ensuring that all forklifts and pallet jacks are in good operating order and necessary repairs are reported to supervisor in a timely manner. • Maintaining the production areas according to 55 Pa. Code CH. 2390 state regulations. • Making scheduled deliveries utilizing the corporate 20-foot box truck or other vehicle as assigned. • Assisting in loading trucks on site and off site as it pertains to deliveries. • Assisting with the general maintenance of the delivery truck. These duties include taking care of any deficiencies listed on the company vehicle check list and reporting any vehicle problems to supervisor immediately. • Minimum Hiring Criteria: High school diploma or GED is recommended • Must possess a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of good driving experience with your license, and must meet our driver eligibility criteria (listed on the application) - PA DOT physical required • $13.25/hr to $13.55/hr

Orchestra Sets Holiday Concert The York Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Holiday Pops Spectacular on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St., York. Music director and conductor Lawrence Golan noted that this is the first year that a matinee and an evening performance have been slated. During the performances, Greater York Dance will entertain audiences with a visual celebration of the holiday season. In addition, the York Symphony Chorus will join the orchestra. Separate prices have been set for adults and for students. Tickets are available at www.yorksymphony.org or by calling 717-846-1111. A variety of flexible season subscription packages are also available.

YCLC Plans Tutor Training
Veterans Day Breakfast Event Posted Lt. Col. Kate Germano, author of “Fight Like a Girl,” will be the keynote speaker at York County’s annual Veterans Day celebration and breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 9 a.m. Germano has become a national figure by speaking out against discrimination and advocating for higher expectations and standards for women in the military. While serving as the commander of 4th Recruit Battalion at Parris Island, S.C., she made it her mission to ensure that female recruits were able to succeed by shifting the paradigm of how women were trained. Her writing has been published in national media outlets, including the New York Times and Washington Post, and she has been featured on NPR, CSPAN, and “PBS NewsHour.” The breakfast will take place in the Mid Atlantic Industrial Memorial Hall West at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., York. Trio Will Perform Appalachian Music The Jeff Little Trio and special guest Wayne Henderson will perform Appalachian old-time music with a piano flair during a Susquehanna Folk Music Society (SFMS) concert on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, 925 S. George St. Henderson will also give a talk on guitar building from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
Little’s distinctive two-hand piano style is heavily influenced by the mountain flat-picked guitar tradition. His involvement with fiddle tunes, old-time country, and traditional blues dates to his growing up in Boone, N.C., where his family owned a music shop that was a regular gathering spot for musicians. YCLC provides free and confidential literacy services to adults in York County. Tutors may help their student to study for their high school equivalency test or to reach a literacy goal such as being able to read to their children, securing or improving employment, and working toward entry

into an institution for higher learning. Volunteer tutors do not need a background in education to help someone to accomplish their literacy goals. The next training will be held at Hanover Office of York County Literacy Council, located in Guthrie Memorial Library, 2 Library Place, Hanover, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 10 and 17.
