Community Courier Night at the York Revolution has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 14. Fans can use the coupon that appeared in the July 11 and 18 issues of the Community Courier for free tickets for the Aug. 14 game. Donations for the York County Food Bank will be accepted. ANNUAL PICNIC
will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ, 509 Pacific Ave., York. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. The group will host its annual picnic at Lehr Park on Saturday, Aug. 11. In addition, the group sponsors a variety of social activities, including dinner at local restaurants on Thursdays at 6 p.m. All widowed men and women are welcome to attend. GENEALOGY CONFERENCE
a genealogy conference, will be sponsored by the South Central Pennsylvania Genealogical Society and the York County History Center on Saturday, Sept. 22. The conference will take place at the Historical Society Museum, Library and Archives, 250 E. Market St., York, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The key note speaker will be local historian June Lloyd. Her writings include books on York County-area fraktur, folk artist Lewis Miller, and York County in the American Revolution. Workshops during the day will focus on Pennsylvania Germans, as well as genealogy research in general. Attendees can choose from concurrent sessions in both category areas. The registration fee includes lunch. The registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 10. To register, visit www.scpgs.org.
