Red Lion Zion United Methodist Church,
a benefit event, will be hosted by We Are 1 on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown. Warriors for Women will host approximately 40 local vendors ranging from crafters and direct sales representatives to lifestyle coaches and self-defense experts. Women who are interested in celebrating healthy lifestyles and attitudes are invited to take part in the beach body contest. A disc jockey will provide music. Attendees may participate in one of several prize drawings, and each charity will have representatives present to provide information about participating organizations. We Are 1 is a group that supports and inspires women who have experienced loss in their lives by connecting women with a variety of important resources. The August event will benefit two local organizations, Pink Hands of Hope and Bridge of Hope. MONTHLY LUNCHEON
The Red Lion High School Class of 1959 will meet for its monthly luncheon on Monday, Aug. 20, at Meadow Hill Family Restaurant in Longstown. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Spouses and guests are invited to attend, as well. The Red Lion High School Class of 1959 meets for lunch on the third Monday of each month.
