Green Thumb Garden Club will host a Garden Ramble of three members’ gardens on Monday, July 9. Due to limited parking, attendees will meet to carpool at 9:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 2650 Freysville Road, Red Lion. The event is free.

The 20th Mason Dixon Fair will take place from Monday to Saturday, July 9 to 14, at Mason Dixon Fairground, 6988 Delta Road, Delta. The event’s purpose is to provide friendly competition among neighbors and a wholesome, educational atmosphere for people of all ages. Farmers and gardeners may compare their produce at one central location, and boys and girls may exhibit in all categories of baking, canning, cooking, needlework, vegetables, plants, and animals. Children may learn about food products and farm animals.

This year’s fair will feature several changes and new divisions. Youth rodeo events will take place on Sunday and Tuesday evenings. The sheep show will now include a Young Flock class for all breeds and Cheviots as a recognized breed division. The beef cattle show will have a Red Angus breed division. The dairy beef cattle show will include an Open division, as well as the Youth Under 19 division. Participation by youths under age 19 are not required to be part of 4-H or FFA projects.

The Mason Dixon Fair will include a variety of contests, musical performances, parades, and fireworks.

Activities on July 9 will include the Fair Princess Contest from 6 to 7 p.m. and the Pie and Baked Goods Auction from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Musician Jeff Stike will perform on Tuesday, July 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Mason Dixon Fair Stage.

On Wednesday, July 11, the Mason Dixon Antique and Classic Tractor Pulls will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. and Common Ground Band will perform from 7 to 10:30 p.m.

Gas, Diesel Truck and Semi Drag Races will occur on Thursday, July 12, from 7 to 11 p.m. Musical group Barn Cat will perform from 7 to 10 p.m.

Mason Dixon Patriotic Salute Day will take place on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seniors and veterans will receive free admission.

Hot Rod Mule will perform on Friday, July 13, from 7 to 10 p.m.

On July 14, the Horse and Mule Show will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, and the Fireman’s Parade will occur from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Foggy Hollow Bluegrass will perform from 6:30 to 10 p.m., and a fireworks show will take place from 10 to 10:30 p.m.

Heather and Kevin Lape of Felton have announced the engagement of their daughter, Hailey Lape of Felton, to Matthew Kerschner of Mount Kisco, N.Y. The bride-elect graduated from Red Lion Area High School in 2012 and from George Washington University in 2016.

She works in social services in Washington, D.C. Mr. Kerschner is the son of Debbie and Barry Kerschner of Mount Kisco, N.Y. He graduated from Horace Greeley High School in New York in 2010 and from Vanderbilt University in 2014. He received a master’s degree from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs in 2018. He is employed by the American Academy of Neurologists in Washington, D.C. The Dallastown Area High School boys’ volleyball team held a fundraising event, Aces for Andrea, to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society on April 17 during the home match with Kennard-Dale High School. The team organized a silent auction and a bake sale and accepted donations from spectators. In addition, the booster club pledged to donate funds toward the cause for each ace scored by the Wildcats. Andrea Nestlerode (front, center), the daughter of head coach Tom Beakler, was diagnosed with MS last fall and organized a team to participate in the York MS Walk. The $1,500 raised by the boys’ volleyball team benefited Andrea’s MS Walk team, Andrea’s MS Annihilators.

Children Invited To Week Of Camp Liberty Bible Camp, 1106 Keller Road, York, is hosting its 39th year of Christian camping. The camp will host Summer Resident Camp Week from Sunday, July 15, through Friday, July 20.

Camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15. A cost has been set for the week of camp, which will include a variety of activities.

Campers will have the opportunity to take part in Bible studies and games, gospel music, crafts, and a missionary challenge. Sport activities will be offered, such as swimming, bowling, basketball, box hockey, pingpong, miniature golf,

and more. Additional activities will include Christian movies, electronic air hockey, a picnic, roller skating, and go-karts.

Campers will enjoy 16 total meals during the week and will stay in air-conditioned cabins.

Bible teachers and staff members include pastor Steve Schmuck, Michael Ferrara, and Rick Arthur.

The staff is made up of volunteer Christian workers, missionaries, and Christian counselors.

Olde Tyme Days Slated The 29th annual Olde Tyme Days of Fawn Grove is set for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 6, 7, and 8. Festivities will be held at Community Park on North Market Street. Admission is free.
