Lions Club Presents Scholarships The Red Lion Lions Club recently presented two $1,000 Scholarship Awards to Red Lion Area High School graduating seniors. The recipients were Chance Riddle and Carly Miller. Applications were judged on the basis of need, character, scholastic achievement, activities and service to the student’s school and community. The scholarships were presented on June 11. The Red Lion Lions Club meets every second and fourth Tuesday at the Great American Saloon, Dairyland Square in Red Lion.

Red Lion Borough’s New Year’s Eve Committee will hold the annual Roarin’ Great Car Show and Stay at Home Celebration on Thursday, July 4, at Fairmount Park from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The car show will offer 16 classes of competition, including antique, street rod, modern, classic, truck and others. Cars may register on the day of the event from 8 to 10 a.m. There is a cost per car. The first 100 participants will receive a commemorative dash plaque. The Stay at Home Celebration will

feature a craft and direct sales vendor fair and food trucks from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A chicken barbecue will be held to raise funds for Red Lion Recreation Softball, along with Red Lion Recreation events. The cost of a meal will include a half-chicken, a baked potato, a roll, and applesauce. All proceeds will benefit the Red Lion New Year’s Eve Roarin’ in the New Year celebration.
