TAFE Will Present “The Night Before Christmas”

Theatre Arts For Everyone (TAFE) will present “The Night Before Christmas” at York Learning Center, 300 Seventh Ave., York, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7; at 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8; and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9. Santa will be available after each performance to visit, pose for photos, and accept letters. The poem, originally titled “A Visit From St. Nicholas,” was written by Clement C. Moore in 1823. It has been adapted and enhanced for TAFE actors and audiences. Characters include Mr. and Mrs. Santa, seven elves, one human family of six, a mouse family of five, Santa Mouse and his two mouse elves, five singing and dancing sugar plums, two human helpers at the North Pole, and an actual grandfather clock. TAFE has a cast of 31 characters ranging in age from 7 to 72. Cast and crew members hail from areas such as York, Windsor, Hanover, Dover, Mount Holly Springs, Manchester, and Jacobus. Lions Club Installs New Member

Free Pancake Breakfast Set Pinchot Park Assembly of God, 2755 Rosstown Road, Wellsville, will hold a free pancake breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 1. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. During the breakfast, random drawings will take place each half-hour for a gift certificate to shop at the Christmas bazaar, which will happen at the same

time. The bazaar will feature handmade crafts, gift baskets, needlework, woodwork gifts, and more. The Christmas bazaar will also be held on Sunday, Dec. 2, from noon to 1 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit New Life for Girls in Dover.
