BENEFIT CONCERT
Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), 1000 S. Eisenhower Blvd., Middletown, invites the public to celebrate the birth of Christ as local band III For The Road presents a Christmas benefit concert on Saturday, Dec. 14. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. The event will raise funds for HCPAC. There will be readings of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” and the Nativity story, singing of Christmas carols, and light refreshments and desserts. Harrisburg River Rescue and Emergency Services, 725 S. 22nd St., Harrisburg, will host its inaugural Cocoa With Santa event on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. Children will be assisted in selecting a toy, and cocoa and baked goods will be provided. There will also be a holiday movie, crafts and coloring activities, and holiday-themed games. MARA Schedules Special Events Middletown Area Recreation Alliance (MARA), in conjunction with Middletown Business Association, has launched an event to encourage residents to get out into the town. The Scavenger Hunt for Santa will take place through Friday, Dec. 13. The hunt for Santa will officially end at MARA’s breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 8 to 11 a.m. In order to participate in the scavenger hunt, a Santa passport must be obtained from one of the participating stores, and then the participant must follow the clues to the other locations. To demonstrate that participants have visited each location, they must bring their Santa passport so the store can See MARA pg 2

Youth leaders and students from LCBC Church in Harrisburg recently paid a visit to a “Frozen Jr.” rehearsal at Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) to share a lesson on friendship with the performers. The young actors learned that some of the best friendships often have three important components: help, encouragement and accountability. HCPAC is passionate about creating a community where young people can encourage and strengthen each other.
