Annual Home Tour, Holiday Tea Planned The annual Middletown Holiday Home Tour will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, along with a Charles Dickens Holiday Tea. The home tour will be available from 1 to 8 p.m. and will feature many Middletown-area homes decorated for the holiday season. This year’s tour is dedicated to the memory of JoAnn Shipkowski.

Proceeds from the home tour will benefit the Middletown Area Blue Raider Foundation’s RaiderPacks program. Information about this program is available at www.raider web.org/for-community/raiderpacks. Home tour ticket purchase includes a brochure with information about each
tour site and a map of the tour route. Ticket vouchers may be purchased at The Press and Journal, 20 S. Union St., Middletown, until Friday, Dec. 13, on Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ticket vouchers must be p r e sented at the Event Place on the day of the tour in order to receive

Rotary Club Recognizes Students Of The Month The Hershey Rotary Club presented its Students of the Month awards for November and one for October at its weekly luncheon meeting on Nov. 18. Seven students from three area high schools were recognized. The honorees are (from left) Angelina Torres, an October winner; Cayla Garman; and Dane Ebersole, all from Middletown Area High School, along with Jerusha George and Kole Kramer from Hershey High School and Diana Creech and Benjamin Ramsaroop-Jaimungal from Milton Hershey School.

Lower Dauphin High School’s MiniTHON Committee will host a Jingle Jam 5K Run and Fun Walk on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Cassel Brookside Farms, 80 Shetland Drive, Hummelstown. The 5K run/walk will begin at 11 a.m. A half-mile fun run for children will begin at noon. A silent auction will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on race day. The event will be a cross-country style race, and participants may face some rough terrain as the race will be held on the grounds of a farm. Participants are encouraged to wear an ugly sweater or Christmas costume, and the person with the best costume will receive a prize. After Monday, Dec. 9, the registration fee will increase, and participants will not be guaranteed a T-shirt. Middletown-area homes will be decorated for the holiday season during the Middletown Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 14. Community members are also invited to attend a Charles Dickens Holiday Tea on Dec. 14 at the Event Place.
