Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), 1000 S. Eisenhower Blvd., Middletown, will host its first Dancing With Our Stars (DWOS) benefit event on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the HCPAC theater. Guests may enjoy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and non-alcoholic specialty beverages while watching dance teams of local community leaders and HCPAC students compete for the grand prize. Proceeds from the event will help provide financial aid and cover other expenses not paid for through tuition fees. Showcasing Mount Gretna’s Homes And Gardens

ANNUAL PICNIC

The Serbian-American Club of Steelton will hold its annual picnic on Sunday, July 28, from noon to 8 p.m. at Serb Park, 1131 Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg. The event will feature roast lamb and pork, sarma, cevaps, and other ethnic foods, including baked goods such as palacinke. Music will be provided by Sviraj and the Happy Slovenes. Quartet Will Present Concert

Night at the Museum, an annual fundraising event for the AACA Museum, will recognize individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the automotive hobby. This year, the AACA Museum Automotive Heritage Award honorees are Bill Miller Jr. and the late Elliot “Chip” Miller, founders of Carlisle Events, which provides classic and collector car entertainment.

BIBLE SCHOOL

GracePointe Church of Christ, 4806 E. Harrisburg Pike, Elizabethtown, will offer a free vacation bible school, “Roar - Life is Wild, God is Good,” for children in preschool through grade six. The program will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 5, to Friday, Aug. 9. Bible activities, games, treats, songs, and more will be featured. Make It With Wool Contest Planned

The Emmanuel Men’s Quartet will perform in a concert on Sunday, July 28, at 10 a.m. in the Prayer Hub at Doug Lamb Construction Company, 1180 Zeager Road, Elizabethtown.

Any person who sews, knits, or crochets garments with wool is invited to enter the Pennsylvania Make It With Wool contest. The contest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the PA Preferred Banquet Hall at the Farm Show Complex, 2300 N. Cameron St., Harrisburg. Entry paperwork is due by Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Competition divisions are Pre-Teen, age 12 and under; Junior, ages 13 to 16; Senior, ages 17 to 24; Adult, age 25 and over; and Made for Others, in which the creator and the model will present the ensemble.
