The essential functions for the Residential Nurse will include the following: • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals with a primary diagnosis of MH/IDD. • Ensure that individual medical documentation and care is completed to foster continuity of care and ensure that appointments and medical care is completed. • Promote/support meaningful lifestyles of each individual through Everyday Lives Principles, ISP process and related programming. • Coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate all individuals to maintain the person’s highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing. This includes ensuring monthly medical assessment of all individuals and updating baseline forms as needed. Assist agency staff throughout illnesses of individuals as needed. • Ensure Medication labels and MAR’s are correct on a monthly basis. • Attend appointments with agency staff for medically involved/ individuals/critical appointments. • Train and monitor residential sites with medication issues (ex. medication errors). • Train agency staff on medical apparatus (ex. hoyer lifts) and individual diagnoses. Ensures medical adaptive equipment is functional. • Serve as the main liaison when individuals are hospitalized. Ensure follow up from hospital discharges including acquiring equipment, medication change management, and training agency staff on medical discharge protocol. • Serve on the agency medication task force. • Review safety plans for individuals, as needed. • Create and modify charts or documents as needed to ensure medical documentation meets ODP regulations. Assist in creating and modifying refusal for treatment plans. • Serve on the emergency on-call team for medical issues of the individuals. • Work schedule alternates between 1 week of daytime hours and 1 week of evening hours (2nd shift). Education & Experience: Must meet the following criteria: • Must be licensed as a practical nurse in the State of Pennsylvania. • Post-licensure experience preferred but not required. • Must be CPR/First Aid certified and be able to demonstrate CPR competencies. • Evidence of continuing education in line with community, state and federal regulations.

Marietta singer-songwriter Justin Angelo will also perform. The showcase will give each of the six acts a set at the Coffeehouse Stage on the first day of the festival, July 28. The winning act will then perform again at 4:15 p.m. on the main stage for a full set and will receive eight hours of recording studio time. The Susquehanna Folk Festival is an annual music, dance, storytelling, and craft festival. This year’s headliners will include the legendary David Bromberg, four-time Grammy Award winner David Holt, blues performer Rory Block, and Texas swing fiddlers and singers The Quebe Sisters. The festival is produced by the Susquehanna Folk Music Society, an arts organization that has presented concerts, dances, workshops, coffeehouses, and jams in Harrisburg, York, and Lancaster for 30 years. Major funding comes from the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau through a tourism grant. Other sponsors include Indian Summer Jars from the Harrisburg area will perform in the York County Community Foundation, the See Emerging Artists pg 2 the Emerging Artist Showcase Competition on July 28. The 2018 Susquehanna Folk Festival has announced the six finalists in the Emerging Artist Showcase Competition, which gives local acts an opportunity to perform in front of a large festival crowd. The event will take place from Saturday to Sunday, July 28 to 29, at Roundtop Mountain Resort, 925 Roundtop Road, Lewisberry. Relay For Life Supports ACS

The 40 teams and more than 500 participants in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of York event on June 15 and 16 raised more than $175,000 for the cause. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) conference director Dave Seibert (far left), RYLA chair Gary Crissman (second from left), and conference director Donna Griest (far right) recognized the top eight conferees, including (from third from left) Harrison Perring, Victoria Jean-Baptiste, Abigail Wurzbach, Lucy Svetec, Nathanial Bamford, Avery Cook, David Deitz, and Katelyn Cocco. Cocco was named the top conferee overall. A total of 144 high school seniors attended the 58th annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference held from June 10 to 14 at Messiah College in Grantham. Rotary District 7390 holds this annual conference for seniors who are selected and interviewed by the 43 Rotary Clubs in the district. Rotary District 7390

encompasses the counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. The five-day conference featured speakers, team-building activities, and fun. A total of 40 teams and more than 500 people participated in the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life of York event on June 15 to 16 at the York Expo Center. More than $175,000 was raised to support the organization’s mission of saving lives from cancer. Funds raised help the ACS provide free information and support for people facing the disease and fund cancer research to help protect future generations. According to event co-leader Kelly Smith, the event celebrated those who have survived cancer, remembered those who lost their battles, and took action in the fight against the disease. • Community activities may include volunteer, employment, recreational, and social activities • H.S. diploma or GED required • Must possess a valid driver’s license, have at least 3 years of good driving experience with a license, and must meet driver eligibility criteria (listed on the application) E.O.E. Founded by Dr. Gordy Klatt in Washington in 1985, the Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to save lives from cancer. During Relay For Life events, members of each team take turns walking or running around a track. Teams participate in fundraising efforts in the months leading up to the event.
