Page 1

ENGLAND CATTLE CO. Welcome to

Our goal here at England Cattle Co. is to produce cattle with real-world performance value that meet the industry demand for Polled American Brahman genetics. With four generations, and nearly 100 years of South Texas ranching in our blood, we are committed to our mission of breeding Brahman cattle that are functional, maternal and profitable assets to the beef industry. As you flip through this catalog, our commitment to the industry, and our passion for sharing our very best Polled American Brahman genetics with you, is evident by the lots presented to you today.

It is hard to believe that Saturday, May 17 will mark our sixth year to host a production sale at the ranch. Time truly does fly by! Throughout our years hosting the “Brahmans on the Rio” Production Sale, we have had the chance to meet so many wonderful breeders and Brahman enthusiasts. Every year we are inspired by those who come to the ranch looking to purchase the next game-changer for their breeding program, and we know this year will be no different.

This year’s offering packs a punch! We start off strong with Lot 1 featuring a PICK of the ECC Polled Maverick 302/9 (P) Spring Calf Crop, a rare opportunity where we open our pastures to you. The offering also features not one but TWO Homozygous Polled females, one halter-broke and one straight from our personal show string. Due to their popularity with recent show ring wins, we only have one ECC Polled Comandante 749 (S) female in the sale — and she’s a beauty. You will also find exclusive semen and embryo packages, including full-sib embryos to the 2025 International Calf Champion Bull, ECC Polled Michael Gray 926/4 (P). Whether you are just starting out or have been breeding Brahman cattle for decades, there is truly something for everyone in this sale and every size breeding program.

On behalf of all of us at England Cattle Co., we look forward to welcoming you to the ranch the weekend of May 16-17 for a weekend of camaraderie, good food and great Brahman cattle. We invite you to join us on the Friday evening before the sale for happy hour and a stroll through our sale pens. On Saturday morning, we will kick off sale-day festivities with your choice of two guided tours, followed by two exciting special guests and a presale cocktail hour. At 6 PM CST, we will kick off the USA’s largest Polled Brahman offering with a 22-lot live production sale, followed by dinner featuring Brahman Hump, live music and dancing. It is truly a weekend to remember and an experience you won’t soon forget!

We know you have many options when it comes time to purchase registered cattle, and we thank you for being here with us today. The bloodlines that run through the lots in this catalog are a testament to the many years our family has dedicated to improve our corner of the breed. This task is a true honor and one we do not take lightly. We sincerely appreciate your interest in the offering, and greatly value the relationships we have built, and the friendships yet to come. There is no other breed like Brahman. Here’s to continuing to champion this great breed together.

See you soon!

Pick of the Calf Crop LOT 1

A bull of a lifetime. In just three years of production, ECC Polled Maverick 302/9 (P) has made his mark on the Brahman breed, globally. With progeny on the ground in herds across the USA and the countries of Australia, Bolivia and Costa Rica, breeders across the world have found success with Maverick’s ability to consistently produce calves who are the complete package. His calves are hardy. They are born small, get up and nurse quickly and wean heavy. Not to mention, they have eye appeal! Often, his calves are the first ones visitors will spot out in the pasture due to their flashy look and impressive, muscular build.

By offering you the PICK of his Spring-born calf crop, Lot 1 presents you with a unique opportunity to not only be part of the Polled Maverick legacy, but also to own the genetics of some of the most proven cow families of England Cattle Co. Every year since they’ve hit the ground, the Polled Maverick calves are the first to sell out. His daughters featured in the sale today were selected early on and retained for this reason. We’re giving you the chance to select your favorite heifer or bull from his calf crop before they go on the market, and yes, before we even make our picks.

We believe Polled Maverick has the ability to change the game for the Brahman breed, and we want to share his success with you. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity today as there will not be one like it in the foreseeable future.

The selection should be made by July 1, 2025 to allow other calves to be marketed. The selected calf will be available for pick up after weaning.

SPRING CALVES SIRED BY POLLED MAVERICK

Donna’s Dynasty LOT 2

If the phrases “Homozygous Polled” and “Show Heifer” don’t stop you in your tracks, the overall look of this female sure will! Picked straight from our personal show string, ECC AX Polled Donna’s Dynasty is more than just a pretty face. As her name implies, she comes backed by one of the strongest cow families in our breeding program, +S Donna 247.

Without Donna, we wouldn’t be here today. She is the granddam of LMC Polled Cricket 23/1 (P), the cow that started it all for us here at England Cattle Co. whose daughter, ECC LMC Polled Foundation 711 (P), produced this phenomenal female in Lot 2. This female is more than five generations Polled and carries the likes of some of the most famous Polled cattle in the breed in her pedigree.

From the profile view, it’s hard to find a fault in this female. Like so many of the Polled Maverick calves, she’s extremely correct from her topline to her underline and brings excellent Brahman breed character to the table. On the move she glides effortlessly covering her tracks and carries her head and neck in a beautiful, feminine package.

The dam to 893/4 is one of our top producers who is backed by the #5 most widely used sire in the USA, ECC El Caporal (S). To further enhance this opportunity 893/4 ranks in the Top 15% of the breed for Marbling EPD. This is a BIG TIME female that is good enough to be a show heifer and has the genetics and Polled status to be a cornerstone donor. Don’t miss her!

ECC AX POLLED DONNA’S DYNASTY (PP)

LOT 3

Charmaine

A proven show heifer with a world of potential! In Lot 3 you’ll find a daughter of ECC LG Blanche 557/1, one of the winningest females to carry the Bar E brand. During her show career, Blanche racked up a number of banners for Kinsley Gandy including Senior Champion Grey Female in Fort Worth and Grand Champion Grey Female at the Heart of Texas. Another female pulled from our show string, ECC LG Polled Charmaine 914/4, hails from the 963/8 cow family who also has ECC LG Sugar Queen 825/3, the 2024 Kick Off Classic Senior Yearling Champion Grey Female, to her credit. A winner in her own right, Charmaine took home a class win at her first show out in Mercedes at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show.

This female gets better every day, and she reminds us a lot of Blanche at this age. Much like her dam, it’s easy to appreciate her depth of side and spring of rib, which is an added compliment to her overall femininity and and eye appeal. Charmaine is one of the more balanced females selling which should come as no surprise with her sire being ECC Polled Maverick 302/9 (P).

To complete this impressive package 914/4 ranks in the top 15% of the breed for Birth Weight EPD and 30% for Marbling EPD making her attractive to all markets. In our opinion, Charmaine is the kind of female that a program can be built around. An absolute dream on the stick, Charmaine would make a good companion for either a beginner or experienced showman. If you’re looking for a show heifer who is ready to take on the road tomorrow, she’s your girl!

Sweet Rosie Jones LOT 4

Sweet Rosie Jones sure gets us excited! The story of how this female came to be is one for the history books — a testament to friendship and collaboration to share genetics and breed good cattle. There comes a time in every breeding journey that you need to influence some new blood to “shake things up.” Enter AT Miss 25/2, the Dam of Lot 4. A true outcross pedigree for our breeding program, Sweet Rosie Jones brings some of the most proven horned Brahman genetics to the table in a pretty, POLLED package.

The dam of Lot 4 is a daughter of +JDH Music Manso, who is a (+) JDH Woodman son, and out of +AT Miss Izzy Manseaux 642/7 who is a Noble daughter out of the Register of Renown +CT Lisa Manseaux cow. In additon, she is a full sister to the highly-successful show cow and donor for AT Brahmans, AT Miss Arrow Manseaux 752/9.

When we acquired 25/2 from our good friends Garrett and Jordon Thomas, we knew just who to breed her to. You guessed it — Polled Maverick. Purchased as a yearling, Benton had done his homework on this female and could see the vision long before she came home to the ranch. So you can guess how anxious we were to get her to breeding age and see what crossing our genetics could produce. The result exceeded our expectations! We believe Sweet Rosie Jones has the bone, muscle shape and style to be a real showstopper and a competitive show heifer. Her best days are surely ahead of her!

SophieLOT 9

“She’s gonna make one hell of a cow!” That was the consensus of everyone who stopped by our stalls in Houston to see ECC Polled Sophie 915/4 (P). A frontrunner for our sale from day one, it’s hard to even know where to start describing Sophie as she brings such an amazing pedigree and phenotype to the lineup.

Her striking build likely caught your attention as she is big boned, bold through her center body, long, level, and super attractive. Study her pedigree and you see that she is a daughter of Miss Double A 468/7, who is one of our top donors and certainly needs no introduction.

You’ll see a new genetic line in our breeding program with Lot 9’s sire who is Kenrol Darrocca 2761, an Australian bull who we are fortunate to have some of the limited semen for use in the USA. We along with J.D. Hudgins, and RedSmith Genetics have successfully used Darrocca with great success to produce offspring just like Sophie. To further enhance this opportunity Sophie ranks in the top 10% of the breed for Birth Weight EPD and Top 20% for Marbling.

We had Sophie on a halter for a short time but her real value is going to be in the donor pen as a progressive breeding piece. We really hate to see this one go!

There’s only ONE LIKE HER in the sale! ECC 4F Polled Megan 924/4 (P) is the only daughter selling by ECC Polled Comandante 749 (S), the sire of the 2025 International Calf Champion Grey Bull, and the only female in the sale selling from the Madonna cow family! Lot 12 is your chance to own some of the most proven genetics in our breeding program to date.

The dam to Megan is a young cow that results from some of the most proven genetics in the breed being a daughter of +LMC +S Polled Madonna (P) who is one of the most influential cows in the breed based on her production, lifetime value of her offspring sold at over $18,000, and best known as the dam to the 2016 Reserve International Champion Grey Female. The sire to ECC Polled Paris 434/0 (P) is Mr. V8 794/7 (P) who combines the Reserve International Champion +Mr. V8 191/7 and Miss V8 510/6 who is the dam to +Mr. V8 279/7, and the National Champion Miss V8 100/7 who sired the great “Noble” bull. To further strengthen this opportunity, Megan charts positive for the valuable performance traits of Milk, Marbling and Ribeye Area.

A replacement female that puts all the pieces together for us, backed by a proven pedigree. She’s the real deal!

ECC 4F POLLED MEGAN 924/4 (P)

LOT 13Susie Q

ECC POLLED SUSIE Q 911/4 (P)

A Smooth Polled beauty! Lot 13 highlights what our original breeding goals set out to accomplish when we crossed two of our foundation herd sire lines, LMC Polled Authority 115/0 (P), daughters over LMC Polled Sambo 45/0 (P) sons. ECC Polled Susie Q 911/4 (P) may not be the biggest one of the bunch but she sure has that feminine look! If there is one thing Authority did was make our original herd of rugged Brahman cows, pretty.

The maternal granddam of 911/4 is Miss RB 847/6 who gave us three replacement females for our herd including the dam to 911/4: ECC Ms Sugar 407. Lot 12 is also one of two ECC Polled Chief 719 (P) yearling females selling, and like her half sister, she too ranks above average for the breed for the Milk and Calving Ease EPD’s. If you are looking for a solid replacement female to add to your herd, look no further than Lot 13.

ECC TCB POLLED VIDALIA 865/4 (S)

LOT 14 Vidalia

There are a few lots in this sale that when you look at the pedigrees you will find a new POLLED generation of some of the most well-known horned genetics in the breed. Lot 14 is one of those females!

ECC TCB Polled Vidalia 865/4 is a female that comes to us from Benton and Brooke’s personal cowherd with the dam of this female originating from Brooke’s family operation, TCB Ranch in Louisiana. Looking at TCB Miss 125’s pedigree you will see the likes of genetics from some of the true visionaries of the Brahman breed including Dr. Edward Leblanc (EJL) and the great Sugarland herd to name a few. Her pedigree being so different from many Polled herds in the USA gives breeders an open opportunity for a true outcross pedigree!

Looking at her from a performance standpoint, she sits among the Top 15% of the breed for Milk. Top 3% of the breed for Calving Ease and Tenderness. Add to this 856/4’s overall eye appeal, ideal teat size and strong Brahman breed character — she will make a great breeding piece.

The sire to 851/3 is our most widely used sire that is known for producing superior daughters due to their fertility and milking ability. ECC El Caporal 301 (S) is genetically diverse from many of the traditional Polled bloodlines, and as a result, he has been used in herds across Australia, Africa and Mexico. To further add value to this female from a production standpoint, her dam is D Bar Miss 806/1 who is by one of the most performance-oriented sires of the Duplantis’ herd and out of a Maternal Merit Dam. You will recognize 806/1 as the dam to ECC Polled Blues Man 631/1 who sold ½ interest in our 2022 sale for $17,000. As a result of her genetic excellence, 854/3 ranks in the Top 20% of the breed for Milk and Marbling EPD’s.
