FROM NICK PINK, ENGLAND HOCKEY

2024-25 U16/U18 GIRLS & BOYS SCHOOLS
We are delighted to end 2024 with the first finals of the 202425 season, the Schools Super 6s Championships.
After a successful trial last season we again see the finals played before the Christmas holidays. This change was supported by the overwhelming majority of schools and we hope helps lighten pupils’ load in the academically busy January period. We know it has proved challenging for Area organisers to schedule their finals prior to the event and we thank them for their assistance in making this happen
We congratulate the teams who have made it through the Area competitions to reach the finals and hope that they enjoy the experience of playing in a tournament with their peers from around the country.
Our thanks go to all the team officials who have dedicated a lot of time to the development of each team. We know that their commitment is very much appreciated by the players and parents. Thanks also go to the umpires and officials who give their time freely to run the tournaments in a structured and fair manner.
All of you are part of the thousands of people in our sport who continue to help hockey move forwards.
Finally we thank the staff at Whitgift and Repton Schools for their assistance and for making their facilities available to use for these and other England Hockey indoor tournaments.
England Hockey sends its seasonal greetings to all and we look forward to seeing you in 2025, perhaps at the Junior Super 6s and our showpiece Super 6s finals at Derby Arena, which is a great venue for indoor hockey, at the end of January or for Pro League games at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in June.
