Cable Chains Cable Chain Systems manufactured in plastic and metal and in open and closed configurations Cable chain systems often operate in some of the most arduous industrial environments, where there may be swarf, coolant, extremes of temperature and the effects of weather. It is essential therefore that these systems are both robust in their design and reliable in operation. Buttkereit has over 30 years’ experience in the design and supply of cable chain systems. We can supply the systems in plastic, zinc plated steel or stainless steel. Other materials are available if the application requires it. We are also able to supply all support troughs, rollers and cables that may be required.

Cable Entry Terminated Cable Types A high quality range of products for use with pre-terminated cables
This comprehensive series of split frames and inserts alleviate the need to cut and then re-wire pre-terminated cables, ensuring that the original cable warranty is unaffected. Cables, pipes and conduits of various diameters can be accommodated, and the extensive array of different frame and insert styles and sizes allow unique solutions to be easily configured for any application.

The push through system supplied by Buttkereit enables the user to enter, seal and provide strain relief for standard cable types. For standard cables, this compact and innovative design offers a professional appearance and high ingress protection, up to IP67 / 68. There is a wide range of rectangular and round cable entry plates to choose from, plus a selection of flexible cable entry inserts which allow supply cables to be easily routed within switch cabinets.

Cable Protection Conduits A comprehensive range of plastic and metal cable protection conduits No matter which protective tubing system you require, Buttkereit is able to supply the complete solution from a single source. We offer cable protection systems manufactured in plastics or metal, including the appropriate connectors. Our products are food-safe, liquid-tight, resistant to solvents and UV light, or coated with silicone. They can be applied at temperatures of between – 60°C and + 300°C and are approved for up to IP69 K. This range of cable protection systems protect data lines against electromagnetic fields and safeguard laser-optical wave guides against physical damage. In a clinical setting, they meet strictest hygienic requirements and are easy to sterilise. We have solutions for applications in mechanical engineering, automotive, rail traffic, aviation or even in wind power stations or in the medicine sector.

Plastic Conduits A comprehensive range of Polyamide conduit products suitable for standard, heavy duty, outdoor and fire resistant applications. Temperature ranges from -50 to +200 degrees C depending upon product variant.
Protective Plastic Conduits Products are available in a wide range of configurations including rigid plastic & PVC, spring steel & PU, galvanised steel wire & PVC and many other variants to suit diverse applications.
Protective Metal Conduits Select from a wide range of galvanised or rust proofed steel products or galvanised steel wire braided and tinned copper wire braided conduits. Protection ratings from IP40 to IP52 are available depending upon the specific product.
Protective Metal Conduits - Liquid Proof This range of liquid proof conduits are available with PA or PU sheathing. Additional variants include steel wire braiding and double overlapped silicone sheathing for added protection. All variants are rated to IP68.
EMC Shield Clamps EMC shield clamps with a large clamping range The MSKL shield clamps are easy to use and effective in earthing single cables. Due to their special design, the clamping ranges of the MSKL products are large, whilst the overall dimensions are compact. MSKL shield clamps can be easily attached to DIN rail shape H, or via screws or rivets.

Strain Relief Strain relief plates for screw assembly or DIN rail mounting The ZL strain relief plate is used for static or dynamic applications for organising and securing cables on machines, control panels or drag chains. The design of the strain relief unit provides secure strain relief to EN 62444. Mounting of cables or pneumatic tubing is easily achieved using cable ties.

Cable Trunking For cable conduction in electrical and communications cabinets This range of slotted trunking provides a robust solution for cable management across many different applications. The top cover is simple to mount and remove and will not slip, irrespective of mounting position. This insulating trunking has a maximum service temperature of +600C, has been glow fire tested to 9600C, and does not propagate flame. Contact us for more information.

Cable Clamps Designed to hold and support a variety of different power cables Our clamps are all short circuit tested and can clamp single or multiple cable arrangements. They are moulded from black polyamide 6GV and are suitable for use in temperatures from –40 to 1200C. They are resistant to oil, grease and both ozone and UV radiation. All clamps can accommodate individual cable loads up to 600amp and can be supplied with the appropriate screws and fasteners.

Machine Protection Aluminium Apron Covers Protective Bellows Here is just a small selection of our range of machine protection products Our Alutec link-type cover systems reduce the risk of accidents on the machine and their layout and design provide optimum protection for the machine against swarf and coolant. Due to their low weight, these systems allow for high speed movement and an acceleration of up to 2g. We supply ready-for-assembly apron cover systems to your specifications at short notice, including any components required for assembly, if necessary. Fabric bellow guards offer excellent protection for both people and machinery. We can provide bellows to suit any number of applications. Round bellows, box bellows or polygonal bellows can be manufactured to suit your specific requirements. The shape, size and material of the bellows are made to suit the customers requirements. The protective bellows provide safe protection even at high processing speeds. The material can be resistant to oils or coolants if necessary. For applications where even more protection is required the bellows can be fitted with stainless steel covers.

Apron type cover systems protect machinery from chips and coolants. The cover systems are available as single parts or as complete modules including guide track systems and roll away covers, making them flexible to fit within existing environments. Manufactured from anodised aluminium profile, these apron covers are positively interlocked with coolant resistant polyurethane hinges. Fabric Roller Cover
Our roll-away cover systems with internal torsion springs are a competitively priced solution for the protection of machine tools if there is only limited space available to fit a cover. Our roll-away cover systems fitted with external spring motors are suitable for more demanding applications. They can be manufactured to cover any width and the spring motor can be removed easily and quickly, without having to dismantle the cover first. Spiral Springs are circular telescopic covers that are excellent for the protection of spindles and shafts. This product has over 20 years proven success in protecting against swarf, dust and liquids, combined with high temperature stability and chemical resistance. WMB spirals are manufactured from polished blue steel or high-grade stainless steel; they distinguish themselves in safety and performance, and in addition require little maintenance.

For Applications where a bespoke wiper solution is required, we are able to manufacture wipers to your drawings. This can be achieved by fabricating from our straight lengths, suitable for smaller quantities. For larger quantities we can manufacture moulded wipers to ensure the highest accuracy and repeatability.
