Cornwall may be where your holiday begins, or where you call home, but for those in the know, the moments that stay with you are the ones spent on the Isles of Scilly - whether for a spring day trip or a longer island escape.
Just beyond the familiar coastline lies a slower rhythm, quieter beaches, clearer water and islands that feel a world away.
Arrive by boat or plane and let the time unfold at its own pace – and for Cornwall residents, the escape is even easier with the special £25 Scillonian III day trip offer.
Welcome to Dogs Love
This issue of our Dogs Love Cornwall Living supplement makes adventuring with your pup a breeze!
Cornwall has a way of getting under your skin. The wild Atlantic coastline, the ancient moorland, the hidden coves and sun-dappled lanes feel like they were made for wandering. And, if you've ever explored it with a dog by your side, you'll know that everything about it gets just a little bit better. They nose out the salt on the sea breeze long before the coast comes into view, ears pricked and tail already wagging. They feel the cool Atlantic wind ruffling through their coat and lean into it, alive to every sensation in a way that reminds us to be too. They find the joy in every puddle, every crunch of leaves underfoot, every interesting smell lurking beneath a hedgerow. They pull you down paths you'd never have taken alone, pause to listen to the cry of gulls wheeling overhead, and somehow always seem to know when it's time to stop and take it all in. Exploring with a dog is about discovering a whole new way of experiencing a place and Cornwall is a county that truly gets it. From the rugged clifftops of the far west to the peaceful river valleys of the east, there's a remarkable network of businesses, beaches, trails and retreats which welcome dogs with open arms. We've rounded up some of the very best dog-friendly experiences Cornwall has to offer. So, whether you're planning your first visit or Cornwall is your home, we hope it inspires you and your four-legged companion to explore, roam and make a few more memories together.

Finn Mcouls is a proudly dog-friendly pub just a stone’s throw from the Prince of Wales pier in Falmouth. It’s a popular spot for dog-walkers in this famed maritime town, and for good reason. Surrounded by pasty shops and chip shops, the team’s catchphrase is “We have the pub, you bring the grub!”. Humans and hounds alike can warm up by the log fire in the winter, or quench thirsty throats in the summer.
Or why not take the ferry to St Mawes or Flushing for the fabulous walks and golden beaches there? Treats and water are always on hand for four-legged guests, and of course there’s plenty of local ales for you to wash down your choice of Falmouth’s foodie scene.
