We are so very happy to gather with you here at the spectacular Maybourne Riviera, where 125 extraordinary attendees have come together for a few unforgettable days of inspiration, connection, and celebration high above the sparkling Mediterranean.

What began as a one-day gathering in our small hometown has grown into a global community of creative, passionate, and visionary event professionals, bringing us together in some of the world’s most remarkable destinations. And now, here we are on the Côte d’Azur, surrounded by sunlit views, timeless elegance, and that unmistakable Riviera magic, for another beautiful chapter in the Engage! journey.

Bonjour,

The South of France has held a very special place in my heart for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories, long before I knew what an event planner was, and long before I imagined this could become my career, were formed right here.

As a child, I spent every treasured summer in this region, soaking up everything the Riviera had to offer: the golden light, the sparkling coastline, and the effortless glamour that defines it. It wasn’t only the charm and soul of the area that captivated me, but also its unmistakable energy, beauty, and atmosphere.

My parents were known for throwing truly unforgettable parties. They didn’t host quiet dinners, they hosted events. Somewhere, hidden just out of sight, I would watch it all unfold, unknowingly witnessing a masterclass in entertaining with style. It was there that I absorbed the belief that bringing people together and creating joy for others is powerful work.

This area truly has it all: the glamour and sophistication of Monaco, Cannes, and St Tropez; the wild beach parties; the magic of life on the water where the world seems to sparkle; and the rich history, culture, and rolling hills that surround it. It’s the kind of place that always leaves you wanting more - which is why every time I land in Nice, it makes me smile.

When I founded GSP nearly 30 years ago, I knew this was one of the regions I wanted us to work in. For years we produced the opening party for the Cannes Film Festival, and today we create some of the most beautiful weddings here year

after year. It’s a place that continues to inspire us and keep us coming back.

I’m proud to call it my second home. While GSP may not be local in the literal sense, it is somewhere we’ve been warmly welcomed and a place we return to many times each year.

The Maybourne Riviera is truly one of the most exceptional gems in the region. Its striking contemporary architecture and breathtaking panoramic views make it a masterpiece in its own right. Having had the pleasure of producing the first full buyout here in 2023, I experienced first-hand the extraordinary level of luxury and excellence the property offers - so we are all in for something very special.

I would also like to extend my deepest thanks to Rebecca and Kathryn for welcoming me into the Engage family. Thank you for your trust in GSP and for letting us produce this retreat with you. Thank you to all my amazing suppliers who have made this all possible. I am eternally grateful, and I hope you all have the most wonderful time. And finally, to the attendees, we never underestimate that in the most beautiful of settings, the true electricity is borne from the guest’s energy – so in true Côte d’Azur style, be ready to dance on those tables!

Its form echoes the hotel’s descent along the cliff — planes stepping forward, receding, balancing weight and openness. The “E” reveals itself through composition; discovered in the negative space on the left or cantilevered forms on the right.

The result mirrors the property itself: a composition that feels both serene and structurally bold. Grounded in Riviera Modernism, the mark favors restraint over ornament. It reflects what the setting embodies — architectural boldness paired with the serenity of elevated design.

Kathryn Arce brings over 30 years of innovation and flawless event execution to her roles as Co-Founder of Engage! Luxury Wedding Business Summits and Managing Director of Engaging Concepts.

Through her work with Engaging Concepts, Kathryn has successfully developed campaigns and global initiatives in the luxury wedding and honeymoon space for brand names such as The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, Hilton Worldwide, Sandals & Beaches Resorts, InterContinental Hotels Asia-Pacific, Loews Hotels & Resorts, Palace Resorts, Harley-Davidson, the Kessler Collection, Disneyland Resort, various developers, venture capital firms, and many leading luxury wedding and event professionals.

Kathryn has penned numerous articles on destination weddings and honeymoons which have been published in travel magazines throughout the US and Caribbean. She has produced events and live remotes for The TODAY Show, CBS’s The Early Show and “LIVE with Regis & Kathie Lee.” She was also named a BIZBASH Event Innovator Most Innovative People in Events and Meetings.

Known as a logistical maverick, Kathryn’s second-to-none grace of leadership and extensive guest service training paired with vast real-world wedding and event planning experience make her an invaluable resource for clients looking to “raise the bar” of their wedding programs.

In her role as Corporate Director of Group & Event Sales at Maybourne, Mathilde oversees the groups and events function and sales across the group, driving the brand’s global strategy with a focus on Celebrations.

Having joined Maybourne in 2013 as Director of Events & Groups at Claridge’s, over her time in this position, Mathilde led her team to deliver an incredible schedule of events for private individuals and luxury brands, focusing on both outstanding creativity and flawless execution. Prominent events during her tenure in this role include the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards and the Brit Awards After Party, as well as helping guests to create lifelong memories with her thoughtful touches across their personal celebrations.

Mathilde’s unparalleled little black book of contacts and her stellar industry reputation resulted in her appointment as Corporate Director of Group & Event Sales in 2024. In this position, Mathilde supports Directors of Events & Groups at each property globally to align on best practices and execute extraordinary moments, while nurturing her excellent professional network to create opportunities and collaborations that set new standards of creativity for Maybourne guests around the world. Last year, Mathilde was responsible for delivering Engage!26 The London Experience with an unprecedented multi-property experience that was held across all four of Maybourne’s London hotels.

Francisco García is Managing Director of The Maybourne Riviera, the group’s first property in France. The son of a hotelier, Francisco brings over 25 years of luxury hospitality experience, from leadership positions across the globe, now to the stunning property nestled on a rocky peninsula overlooking the picturesque town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

He built his career foundations working with Four Seasons, shaping guest experience by overseeing and cultivating award-winning hospitality teams – including 8 years at Hotel George V – gaining invaluable experience around the world, including London, Ireland, and the USA, before leading the front of house team in opening the 200-room Four Seasons Abu Dhabi.

Returning to Europe, Francisco was part of the opening team for Rosewood’s Hotel de Crillon in Paris, establishing an industry-leading front-of-house team and Paris’ first property-wide Butler team.

Following this, Francisco opened The Mandarin Oriental Ritz in Madrid, before moving to the prestigious Cheval Blanc Courchevel in the French Alps, where the hotel received 3 MICHELIN Keys.

Now at The Maybourne Riviera, Francisco has overseen the exciting expansion of the hotel’s gastronomy, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s abc kitchens at the very top of the hotel and Cannes favourites, La Môme Riviera; as well as welcoming Maybourne’s wellness & longevity brand, Surrenne, ushering in a new era of wellbeing through programming and retreats at the hotel. He has also built and fostered a team dedicated to excellence; this year, The Maybourne Riviera was proud to achieve a five-star Forbes Travel Guide rating on its first review.

Anant has spent sixteen years building Matter Of Form into something that sits somewhere between strategy, concept design, choreography, and creative execution. For nearly two decades, Anja Winikka has been at the forefront of both the consumer and business sides of the wedding industry. From 2006 to 2016, she helped pioneer the online wedding world as editor of TheKnot.com, speaking to millions of engaged couples and shaping how an entire generation planned their weddings. She later turned her focus to the business side of the aisle—creating education programs and workshops to help wedding professionals grow, innovate, and thrive. In 2019, AdWeek named her “The Knot’s Chief Innovator” for her work connecting thousands of local businesses to a social-savvy audience.

In 2021, Anja co-founded Maroo, a Y Combinator–backed payments platform built for the events industry, onboarding more than 7,000 wedding businesses within its first year.

In January 2024, she launched the Freeda Network (JoinFreeda.com)—a private, invite-only business network for established wedding brands and creative entrepreneurs serving highnet-worth clients. Born and raised in France in the town of Annecy between lakes and mountains, Bastien BlancTailleur developed an early passion for pastry. As a teenager, he chose to turn this passion into his profession and began his career near Deauville in Normandy, where he learned the foundations of a rigorous and demanding craft. His journey then took him to Toulouse and later to Paris, where he worked in prestigious Maisons, luxury palace hotels and Michelinstarred restaurants. Roni now has a great place in the floral design world in the South of France, working for wealthy families and personalities. Also growing up worldwide, they spread the scents of flowers with their French savoir-faire through different countries: England, Italy, Spain, Germany and several countries in Africa.

What began as a giddy little art project at festivals and cabaret sideshows soon took on a life of its own.
