ALLEGRA Neu wird der Engadin Skimarathon als erstes Skatingrennen Teil der Visma Ski Classics Serie sein. Diese Serie von Volksläufen geniesst international einen hohen Stellenwert und wird in vielen Ländern live im TV übertragen. In der Schweiz wird das SRF das Rennen in allen Landesteilen übertragen. Es ist auch für die gesamte Produktion verantwortlich. Um allen Läuferinnen und Läufer die Wartezeit im Startbereich zu verkürzen, werden wir das Rennen nach dem Start der Elite live auf einer Grossleinwand übertragen. Apropos Start der Elite: Damit den Damen mehr Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt werden kann, werden die Elite und Elite A Damen 5 Minuten vor dem Herrenfeld bzw. dem restlichen Feld starten.

Dieses Jahr dürfen wir 20 Jahre Engadin Frauenlauf feiern. Der erste Sonntag im März steht ganz im Zeichen der Frauen und viele kleine feine Aktivitäten sollen das Jubiläum zu einem besonderen Erlebnis machen.

Am Zieleinlauf des Engadin Halbmarathon werden die Sieger der 21 Kilometer beim Langlaufzentrum bejubelt. Das Rennen kann auf der Grossleinwand live verfolgt werden. Neben Gastroangebot, musikalischer Unterhaltung und Moderation findet um 10.30 Uhr die Siegerehrung statt.

ZUSCHAUERPARKPLÄTZE Maloja In Maloja stehen keine Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Die Anreise an den Start hat mit dem öffentlichen Bus zu erfolgen. Pontresina In Pontresina stehen wenige öffentliche, kostenpflichtige Parkplätze zur Verfügung. S-chanf In S-chanf sind nur sehr wenige kostenpflichtige Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Es ist verboten, entlang der Strasse zu parkieren oder anzuhalten. Das OK empfiehlt die Anreise mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.

Um eine einwandfreie Präparierung des Startgeländes zu gewährleisten, dürfen am Sonntagmorgen, 10. März 2019 vor 6.00 Uhr, keine Gegenstände (Skis, etc.) in den Startfeldern/-boxen deponiert werden. Alle vorher deponierten Gegenstände werden ohne Haftung seitens des OKs entfernt.
Im Falle von verfügbaren Startplätzen, sind Nachmeldungen bis Samstag, 9. März 2019, 17.00 Uhr möglich. Keine Nachmeldungen am Sonntagmorgen. TRANSPORT ZUM START Öffentliche Transportmittel Fahre mit der Rhätischen Bahn bis St. Moritz Bahnhof und von dort mit dem Engadin Bus nach Maloja an den Start (Shuttlebus 6.00 - 8.10 Uhr). Wir empfehlen dir, dich mindestens eine Stunde vor deiner Startzeit im Startgelände einzufinden. Es stehen zwei beheizte Zelte als Kälteschutz zur Verfügung. Das Rennen wird live auf der Grossleinwand neben den Startboxen übertragen und verkürzt so die Wartezeit. Wachs- und Reparaturservice Am Start besteht ein “Last Minute WachsService” von Toko (Aufpolieren von Kaltwachsen für Skatingskis, Auftragen von Grip- oder Klisterwachsen maschinell für Klassikskis) gegen einen Unkostenbeitrag von CHF 10.–. Der Reparaturservice befindet sich gleich neben dem Wachsposten in Maloja. Auf der Strecke steht der Wachs- und Reparaturservice allen Läufern unentgeltlich zur Verfügung.
Effektentransport 1. Auf jedem Effektensack ist die persönliche Startnummer aufgedruckt. 2. Auf dem Startnummern-Couvert und auf dem Effektensack ist die Nummer des Lastwagens, der deinen Effektensack transportiert, ersichtlich. 3. Auf dem Plan auf Seite 15 findest du den Standort der Lastwagen im Startgelände. 4. Abgabe Effektensäcke: Elite, Elite A, Elite B und Elite C bis 8.30 Uhr; Hauptklasse A, B, C & Volksläufer bis 9.00 Uhr. Es werden ausschliesslich offizielle Effektensäcke transportiert. 5. Bitte merke dir die Nummer des Lastwagens. Im Ziel erhältst du deinen Effektensack direkt ab diesem Lastwagen zurück. 6. Den Standort der Effektenlastwagen im Zielgelände findest du auf den Plänen Seite 19/20. Im Startgelände liegen gelassene Effektensäcke, Kleidungsstücke oder andere Gegenstände werden NICHT ins Ziel transportiert. Der Engadin Skimarathon übernimmt keine Haftung für verloren gegangene Gegenstände, Diebstahl und sonstige Schäden aller Art.

ALLGEMEINE INFORMATIONEN UND TECHNISCHE WEISUNGEN LAUFTECHNIK Skating und klassisch. Die gesamte Strecke ist gespurt (klassische Spuren wo möglich vorhanden). Es ist verboten, in den klassischen Spuren zu skaten. Wer dagegen verstösst, kann disqualifiziert werden. Frei In Laufrichtung ist die freie Technik auf der linken Seite zugelassen. In Engpässen kann nicht nach Lauftechnik getrennt werden, weshalb dort grundsätzlich die freie Technik gilt. 26
Klassisch Die Spuren für klassische Technik sind in Laufrichtung auf der rechten Seite gezogen. STARTPROZEDERE Das Startprozedere beim Engadin Skimarathon und Engadin Frauenlauf erfolgt aus Boxen. Die Läufer begeben sich zuerst zu Fuss in Warteboxen neben dem Startfeld. Von dort werden sie in Gruppen ins Startfeld geführt, ziehen ihre Skis an und starten selbständig. Das Ski-Deponieren, Ski-Anziehen und Ski-auf-den-Boden-legen in den Boxen ist nicht erlaubt. ACHTUNG: Nur Doppelstock-Stossen bis Startlinie, keine Skatingschritte.
Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Halbmarathon Die Teilnehmer der Startblöcke Elite, Elite A (Brutto-Zeitmessung) und Elite B starten aus dem Startfeld. Der Start für die Teilnehmer der nachfolgenden Startblöcke erfolgt aus Startboxen. WICHTIG: Ab Elite B wird die persönliche Zeit erst durch Chip-Auslösung auf der Startlinie gemessen (Nettozeitmessung).
AUFSTIEGE/ABFAHRTEN Die ganze Strecke muss auf Skis zurückgelegt werden. Es ist verboten, insbesondere in Aufstiegen, die Skis auszuziehen. Diese Weisung gilt auch für den Aufstieg bei der Olympia-Schanze St. Moritz. Ausgenommen von dieser Vorschrift ist die Stazerwald-Abfahrt, hier darf nur der speziell gekennzeichnete Fussweg benützt werden.
Engadin Frauenlauf Die Teilnehmerinnen des Startblocks Elite (Brutto-Zeitmessung) starten aus dem Startfeld. Der Start für die Teilnehmerinnen der nachfolgenden Startblöcke erfolgt aus Startboxen. WICHTIG: Ab Elite A wird die persönliche Zeit erst durch Chip-Auslösung auf der Startlinie gemessen (Nettozeitmessung).
SKIAUSRÜSTUNG/SKIWECHSEL • Die verwendeten Skis und Stöcke haben den Vorschriften der FIS zu entsprechen. • Skiwechsel unterwegs sind verboten. • Bei Defekten an Ski oder Bindung darf nur ein Ski ausgewechselt werden.
Engadin Nachtlauf Der Start erfolgt für alle aus dem Startfeld (Bruttozeit). Die Läufer reihen sich vorgängig im Bereich ihrer Kategorie ein.
VERANTWORTLICHKEITEN DER WETTKÄMPFER Der Wettkämpfer muss die gesamte Strecke aus eigener Kraft zurücklegen. Die Hilfe von Schrittmachern und schiebenden Helfern ist nicht erlaubt (IWO Art. 343.7).
Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Halbmarathon • Das Ziel wird um 16.00 Uhr (42 km) / 14.30 Uhr (21 km) geschlossen. • Last Passing Times für 42 km: Pontresina 13.00, La Punt Chamues-ch 14.15 und Zuoz 15.00 Uhr. • In Pontresina, La Punt Chamues-ch und Zuoz steht ein offizieller Bus bereit. Dieser bringt die verspäteten Teilnehmer ins Ziel, wo sie ihre Effekten in Empfang nehmen können. • Marathonläufer, die nach 13.00 Uhr in Pontresina eintreffen, werden dort direkt ins Ziel eingewiesen und für den Halbmarathon klassiert.
Engadin Frauenlauf Zielschluss ist 13.00 Uhr. Engadin Nachtlauf Last Passing Time St. Moritz 20.45 Uhr. Zielschluss 22.00 Uhr. ZEITMESS-CHIP Der Chip für die Zeitmessung ist auf der Innenseite der Startnummer befestigt und muss vorne getragen werden. Er muss nach dem Zieleinlauf an der entsprechend gekennzeichneten Stelle zurückgegeben werden. Nicht retournierte Chips werden mit CHF 40.- / € 38.- in Rechnung gestellt. Wer das Rennen nicht antritt bzw. aufgibt, kann den Chip ohne Kostenfolge bis spätestens Ende März an das Marathonbüro des Engadin Skimarathon zurückschicken. DISQUALIFIKATION Disqualifiziert und mit einer zweijährigen Startsperre bestraft wird, wer • mit einer anderen als der zugeteilten Startnummer läuft • unter falschem Namen läuft • einer anderen Person die Startnummer überlässt
• in einem vorderen als dem zugeteilten Startblock startet • einen Frühstart verursacht • einen Teil der Strecke anders als auf Ski zurücklegt. Ausnahme: Stazerwald-Abfahrt zu Fuss auf speziell gekennzeichnetem Weg • in den für die “Klassiker” reservierten Spuren skatet • sich gegenüber Teilnehmern, Funktionären oder Zuschauern in grobem Masse unsportlich verhält Bei einer zweijährigen Sperre geht automatisch die ursprüngliche Startqualifikation verloren, d.h. der Teilnehmer wird um einen Startblock zurückversetzt! STRECKEN- UND ZIELSCHLUSS • Der Zielschluss wird klar kommuniziert und die Strecke durch ein Schlussfahrzeug kontrolliert. • Läufer, die nach dem offiziellen Zielschluss im Ziel eintreffen, werden nicht mehr klassiert. Der Lauf kann somit nicht gewertet werden. • Wer vom Besenwagen überholt wird, darf das Rennen nur noch auf eigene Verantwortung fortsetzen. Die Startnummer muss ausgezogen werden und der Zeitmess-Chip muss dem Besenwagen abgeben werden. • Die Jury behält sich vor, die Last Passing Times sowie den Zielschluss bei schwierigen Bedingungen zu verlängern.
PROTESTE Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Halbmarathon Proteste sind schriftlich an die Jury einzureichen (im Juryraum des Zielgebäudes). Es sind CHF 100.- zu hinterlegen. Die Protestfrist für die Elite-Läufer dauert für die Männer bis 15 Minuten nach dem Zieleinlauf des 100. Läufers, für die Elite-Läuferinnen bis 15 Minuten nach dem Zieleinlauf der 20. Läuferin. Für alle übrigen Teilnehmer endet die Protestfrist 15 Minuten nach Zielschluss. 28

Transport of personal items STARTING AERA MALOJA Entering the starting area In order to guarantee proper preparation of the starting area, no one is allowed to deposit any items (skis etc.) in the starting field before Sunday morning, 10 March 2019, 6:00 am. Any items deposited before this hour will be removed (the organiser declines any liability). We recommend that you arrive at the starting area at least one hour prior to your start time. Two heated tents will be provided as shelter from the cold. Last Minute Wax-Service / Repair Service In the starting area there is a Toko “Last Minute Wax-Service“ available (only cold waxes for skating skis and grip or klister waxes for classical skis) which costs CHF 10.–. The repair service is located next to the wax service.
1. Your starting bib is printed on your bag for personal belongings. 2. On the envelope with your starting bib inside and on your bag you can find the number of the truck who is caring for your bag. 3. On the map on page 15 you will find the position of the trucks at the starting area. 4. Delivery of personal belongings: Elite, Elite A, Elite B and Elite C: before 8:30 am. Main class A, B, C, and general class: before 9:00 am. Only official bags will be transported. 5. Please memorize the number of the truck as you will be able to pick up your belongings from the same truck at the finish. 6. Please check the map on page 19 or 20 for the position of the trucks in the finishing area. Bags or other items left behind anywhere in the starting area will NOT be transported to the finish. The event organizer does not accept liability for lost items, theft or any other damage.
Marathon participants (registered for 42 km) who decide, before the race, to finish after 21 km (Half Marathon) in Pontresina, have to deposit their personal items on the indicated truck number G for the Engadin Half Marathon. INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS SKIING TECHNIQUE Freestyle and Classic; the whole track is groomed (classic tracks where possible). It is forbidden to skate in the classic tracks. Anyone who violates this can be disqualified. Freestyle Freestyle is permitted on the left side, in the race direction. In bottlenecks where there is not enough space for differentiation, freestyle is permitted.

Classic The tracks for classical technique are on the right side, in the race direction. START The start of the Engadin Skimarathon and Engadin Women’s Race takes place from starting boxes. The participants first walk to waiting boxes next to the starting field. From there they are led in groups to the starting field to put on their skis and start independently. In the boxes, the depositing, wearing or laying-on-the-ground of skis is not allowed. ATTENTION: Only doublepoling allowed up to starting line. No skating!
Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Half Marathon The participants in the starting blocks Elite, Elite A (gross time) and Elite B start from the starting field. The start for the participants of the following starting blocks takes place from starting boxes. IMPORTANT: From Elite B and the following starting blocks, each participants’ starting time is taken individually upon crossing the starting line (net time).
CLIMBS/DESCENTS The whole route has to be covered on skis. It is strictly forbidden, especially in ascents, to take off your skis. This stipulation also applies to the ascent at the Olympic hill St. Moritz. Participants who take off their skis will be disqualified. Exempted from this rule is the Stazerwald descent, whereby only the specially marked footpath may be used.
Engadin Women’s Race The participants in the starting block Elite (gross time) start from the starting field. The start for the participants of the following starting blocks takes place from starting boxes. IMPORTANT: From Elite A and the following starting blocks, each participants’ starting time is taken individually upon crossing the starting line (net time).
SKI EQUIPMENT/SKI CHANGE • The skis and poles used must comply with the regulations of the FIS. • Ski changes on the go are prohibited. • For problems with skis or bindings, a maximum of one ski may be replaced.
Engadin Night Race For all participants the start takes place from the starting field (gross time). The skiers shall line-up in accordance with their category.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMPETITORS Competitors have to cover the whole distance on their skis using only their own means of propulsion. Help from pacemakers or pushing is not allowed (IWO Art. 343.7).
Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Half Marathon • The finish will be closed at 4 pm (42 km) / 2:30 pm (21 km). Participants who arrive at the finish after the official race end will not be ranked. • Last Passing Times for 42 km: Pontresina 1 pm, La Punt Chamues-ch 2:15 pm and Zuoz 3 pm • There is an official bus in Pontresina, La Punt Chamues-ch and Zuoz. This brings the late participants to the finish where they can collect their effects. • Marathon participants who arrive in Pontresina after 1 pm will be pulled out of the Marathon and ranked for the Half Marathon.

TIMING CHIP The timing chip is attached to the inside of the start bib and must be worn on the front. It must be returned after the finish at the accordingly marked place. Chips not returned will be invoiced at the cost of CHF 40.- / € 38.-. If you did not start or withdrew from the race, you can return the chip to the Engadin Skimarathon office before end of March without incurring any further expenses. DISQUALIFICATION Participants will be disqualified and not allowed to compete for the following two years, who … • are competing with a different start number than the one assigned • are competing under a false name • give their start number to another person • start in a front starting block than the one assigned
• cause a false start • cover part of the course in a manner other than on skis. Exception: The Stazerwald decent on the specially marked footpath • skate in the tracks reserved for classical skiing • behave in an unsportsmanlike manner towards participants, officials or spectators If competitors are banned for two years, they automatically lose their original starting qualifications and are relegated to the next starting block! DISTANCE AND FINISH • The finish is clearly communicated and the route is controlled by a sweeping car. • Skiers who arrive at the finish after the official race end will not be ranked. • If you are overtaken by the sweeping car, you are only allowed to continue the race at your own risk. The start number bib and time chip must be handed over to the sweeping car. • The jury reserves the right to extend the last passing times as well as the finish time (race end) in difficult conditions.

APPEALS Engadin Skimarathon/Engadin Half Marathon Appeals must be submitted in writing to the jury (at the jury office on the finish area). A charge of CHF 100.- will be levied. Appeals may be accepted from male elite skiers until 15 minutes after the arrival of the 100th male participant, and from female elite skiers until 15 minutes after the arrival of the 20th female participant. Appeals from all other participants will be accepted until 15 minutes after the official race end. 44
Engadin Women’s Race Appeals by elite participants must be submitted within 15 minutes of the 20th participant’s finish. For all other participants, the appeal period ends 15 minutes after the official race end. Engadin Night Race Appeals by elite participants must be submitted within 15 minutes of the 20th male participant/ 10th female participant. For all other participants, the appeal period ends 15 minutes after the official race end.

FIRST AID/PHONE NUMBER FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES: 144 The 11 first aid stations are free of charge for all participants. The doctors’ recommendations have to be followed. Please dial 144 in case of medical emergencies. For emergencies make a note of the phone number of your person to contact at the inner face of your starting bib. LOST PROPERTY All lost property found at the finish area – excluding skis and poles – as well as the bags for personal belongings which remained in the finishing area will be available for collection at the office of the Engadin Skimarathon (Quadratscha 18, 7503 Samedan). All objects will be disposed of after 31 March 2019.
