Millbury Nursing Home Extension

Millbury Nursing Home is a purpose-built residential nursing home. The development will consist of a new fully serviced single storey extension, which doubles the capacity from 66 bedrooms to 132.

The works consist of a new extension incorporating 66 single bedrooms with associated nursing accommodation, visitor accommodation, administration and staff areas, dining & living facilities & all associated accommodation to ground floor level with associated alterations to elevations. Being able to deliver this extension quickly and with minimal disruption to the current residents was of the utmost importance.

“We decided to use TLA on the Millbury Nursing Home extension as we could benefit from the speed of installation, zero material waste as there would be no cutting of insulated boards, remedial works around pipes / additional services would be removed and there would be no thermal loss via joints in rigid insulation board. The installation of the TLA product on our future projects is to be advised going forward. energystore TLA® combines eps beads coated in a specially formulated additive with cement and water to create a pourable insulation. This poured insulation offers an A2 Fire Rated alternative for use in floor and roof construction as a high strength void former or insulation.
