The Belmayne ETSS Secondary School was a large scale educational project delivered by OHLA/OHMG JV. The design and construction of the new 11,747m2 needed to accommodate 1,000 students and consisted of two and three-story areas. energystore TLA® was specified by the architect and had previously been used on another project by OHLA/OHMG JV in Co. Meath. “Our DT are working with energystore to try and eliminate the need for RC slabs on the ground floor and instead opt for a full TLA system which addresses our thermal and strength requirements needed by the DoE,” Jaylan Jaftha, Project Manager, OHLA/OHMG JV

Project Details

“Using TLA improved construction programme and reduced material waste on site. As a city based project, there was reduced space available for material storage on site. No storage required for TLA. Persistent labour and skill shortages which can cause disruption were avoided as the Installer had his own team who provided one package for both TLA floor insulation and finish screed. The Installer worked with me and was available to come to site at short notice & was very flexible. They worked with me to ensure deadlines were met. We will be considering TLA for future education/school projects.
