Tools like NatHERS and the National Construction Code need to be adjusted to support the move to net zero. This session will look at how they are moving to integrate building fabric, appliances and onsite generation.

Many older Australian homes lack basic features, like insulation, that are critical for comfort, health and efficiency. On average, Victorian homes built before 2005 are rated at just 1.8 stars on the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS). How do we retrofit this vast stock?

Taming the duck – the role of schemes in managing demand

Multiple jurisdictions around the country are putting in place – or actively investigating – minimum energy efficiency standards for rental properties. This session will provide the latest on the rapid progress in rental standards in Australia and around the world.

Governments around the country are adjusting energy efficiency schemes to help manage the daily peaks and troughs in demand and supply that accompany the transition to renewable energy.
