A number of key changes have already been made within the management team and other improvements made to some of the processes within the business to ensure Lamprell is exceeding clients’ expectations.

Lamprell’s profits dipped The shake-up in Lamprell’s affairs was prompted by a dip in its fortunes during the 2012 financial year when it lost $110million following five separate profit warnings. According to Moffat, Lamprell, established some 30 years ago, suffered from growing too quickly in a short period of time.

The necessity

According to international research firm the Aberdeen Group, improving supply chain visibility is a strategic necessity that is growing in importance.
