BLUE LIFE FINDING SERENITY EMPOWERED SOLO TRAVEL FOR WOMEN - EXPLORE THE GREEK ISLANDS

1

FINDING YOUR INNER FEARLESS Do you remember when you were fearless? Do you remember that Wanderlust person you used to be before you placed her aside to let Life’s “Must Do”and “Have to Do” take priority? Has the voice inside your head begun already? The voice of doubt, “Have you lost your Mind? Travel half way around the world alone?”

Put the voice of doubt at ease - you aren’t traveling alone - you are traveling Empowered. You are traveling empowered because you are traveling with a purpose. Your journey’s mission is to Find Serenity. To find serenity we have to provide a safe haven for the Mind to stop the chatter, release the doubt and fears. The mind needs a landscape in which to allow a state of serenity to emerge. The journey is experiential and all its activities have been custom designed and guided by a team of Blue Life Navigators to invoke a Blue Mind. A Blue Mind as described by Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, PHD, “A mildly meditative state characterized by calm, peace, unity and a sense of general happiness and satisfaction with life in the present moment.” This journey is a reacquaintance with Self. Its a journey for women who have acquired their battle scars from their life’s path. It’s for the women who have taken care of everyone else and forgotten the importance of Me Time. It’s a journey to Know Thyself again. A journey of self discovery.

KNOW THYSELF

Socrates - the great Greek philosopher in 470 B.C said the only way for true introspection to occur is when we can free the mind of daily thought and common routines. Only then can we begin the process to Know Thyself. “Knowing others is intelligence; Knowing Yourself is True Wisdom “ ~Socrates We haven’t left anything to chance. We’ve removed all the stress of travel, the unknown, the uncertainties of being in a foreign land, of being out at sea, of feeling vulnerable. We’ve thought about it all when we began to design this journey’s blueprint. A 7 day retreat for the Mind so that it can begin its transformation to a relaxed, meditative state. When the mind is in a meditative state you can enter and view past thoughts and life events without triggering all of the same emotions. An opportunity for reflection, perspective and distance from common triggers to reassess and reevaluate. Your body will thank you!

7 DAYS AT SEA

YOUR ON BOARD EXPERIENCE

Traveling at sea aboard a sailing vessel allows you to experience all of nature’s beauty. From the stunning blue waters, to the soothing sounds of the wind all working in harmony telling your brain to Relax. Why does Water and Water sounds have such a powerful effect on our brain? Our brains interpret the noises we hear — both while awake and in the dead of night — as either threats or non-threats.The sound of the wind in your sails, or the water gently lapping up against the vessel are non-threatening sounds. "These slow, whooshing noises are the sounds of non-threats, which is why they work to calm people," said Orfeu Buxton, an associate professor of bio-behavioral health at Pennsylvania State University. Reducing cortisol levels in the brain is the key component to achieving a Blue Mid state.

JOURNEY HIGHLIGHTS The journey begins in Athens, Greece named after the Goddess Athena, protector of the city and its people. Athena represents wisdom, courage, inspiration to name only a few of her qualities. Greece, as a country, culture and as a people represent the ability to rise above adversity and economic hardship to find true meaning in life and joy in simple everyday moments.

The journey begins with an introduction to this ancient city of Athens and a Welcome Dinner to set the stage of the experiences in the upcoming week.

dures are definitely exhausting! You will be ready for your first on board afternoon refreshment. Your Captain will begin his journey to your next stop Poros.

Day 1 Embarkation

This island is rich in vegetation and is considered one of the "green" islands of the ArgoSaronic cluster. Its unique position right next to the Peloponnese mainland creates a stunning water way and highly protected waters for good swimming and great anchoring. You may even

want to give your on board water sports a try in the afternoon! Day 2 Poros to Spetses 25NM From Poros you move on to the island of Spetses to view its fantastic architecture. The island of Spetses is the main island where Greece began its revolution to free the islands from Turkish acquisition. Spetses is home to the only Greek female Captain who was the leader in this revolution from the turks - Bouboulina. She is known as the symbol of freedom and determination of the Greek people. Many of the houses still have the cannons that project from their homes that fought off the Turks. Spetses is a great island for shopping, a great walk through the island and lovely seaside cafes. Day 3

Spetses to Nafplion 25NM Nafplion is the first capital of Greece and part of the main land. Its exquisite shops and sea side cafes make it a must see. Although not an island, Nafplion is a beautiful way to explore the coast of the mainland of Greece. Nafplion is within the Argolic Bay which is part of the Argo - Saronic cruising area. It is adorned with beautiful beaches and castles. A great place for a good hike - up the 999 stairs to the top of the castle for some of the most spectacular views. Day 4 Nafplion to Leonidio 27NM Leonidio - Stunning combination of trees and the sea. The waters here are warm and exceptionally clean. This area was known as the preferred swimming area from the ancient Goddess Aphrodite. Legend has it that her beauty was 12

maintained from the minerals that come from the sea there. Give it a try - maybe it is the fountain of youth. Day 5 Leonidio- Porto Heli 27NM

Hydra - a stunning island with breathtaking views, that have inspired artists, writers and filmmakers from around the world.

Porto Heli has a multitude of little coves for hours and hours of fun in the sun, why not your own barbecue and beach party? A great place to enjoy the water and take it all in. We pick up anchor and make our way to the beautiful bay of Ermioni with its lovely fishing village - the perfect place for a good fish dinner! Day 6 Ermioni - Dokos - Hydra 15NM

13

From Ermioni, a quick stop for some water immersion in Dokos next stop the spectacular island of Hydra - famous for its high clicks, rock diving and a no car policy, donkeys only for land transportation. Hydra’s tiny harbor attracts all the mega yachts for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, its cafes and great shopping. Be sure to have a sunset cocktail at the Hydrousa bar where no matter what concern you may have - the view will definitely take it away. Hydra is considered by most the gem of the Argo Saronic and its no wonder it has this reputation - the island is spectacular! Day 7 Hydra - Moni - Aegina 28NM Your last night on board! Can you believe how fast the week has gone by. Time for one final Wine & Wisdom, some fine dining on board and maybe a gratitude meditation with your crew. By now you should all be relaxed, sun baked,

maybe a little heavier from all the dining, maybe your luggage a little heavier from all the shopping and but your mind a little lighter filled with great memories to last a lifetime. Day 8 Disembarkation Aegina - Marina Athens Disembarkation day but first a morning breakfast prepared fresh by your crew and quick walk around in Aegina for your last minute shopping. Don’t forget if you are a pistachio lover - this is the island where you need to purchase pistachios. A main export from the island known for its fresh rich pistachios. When you are ready your Captain will set sail back for the marina in Athens. One last Mediterranean Meditation to make sure you go home with a fully transformed Blue Mind!
