Educational Studies Early Childhood Education Elementary Education

Secondary Education Concentration Students will choose a major in one of the following content areas: biology/ biotech (biology license 8-12); environmental (earth & space science license 8-12); English (English license 5-12); history (history license 5-12); or math (math license 5-8 or 8-12).

Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL)

Global study & internship opportunities available to qualifying students

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education mandates that teacher candidates pass the required MTEL in order to obtain a teaching license. Endicott incorporates the relevant MTEL tests into its licensure programs. Students must pass the Communication & Literacy MTEL, plus one additional MTEL, prior to enrolling in junior year pre-practicum and methods courses. All MTELs must be passed prior to registering for senior year practicum.
