Dear Friends,
This past year at Endeavor Therapeutic Horsemanship reminded usagain and again - why this work matters.
Every day, we witness moments of courage, healing, and connection unfold between participants and horses. For some, it is the first time they feel truly safe. For others, it is a step toward physical strength, emotional regulation, or renewed confidence after trauma. These moments are quiet, powerful, and deeply human and they are the reason Endeavor exists.
Together, we delivered high-quality, participant-centered programming while maintaining the highest standards of horse care and safety. We supported veterans and active-duty service members navigating the invisible wounds of service. We welcomed children and adults with diverse abilities and created a space where individuals could grow at their own pace, surrounded by respect and compassion.
Endeavor’s impact is made possible by dedicated staff, extraordinary volunteers, trusted equine partners, and supporters who believe healing can take many forms and that horses have a unique role to play in that journey.
As we look ahead, our focus remains on sustainability, thoughtful growth, and ensuring that our participants, staff, volunteers, and horses are supported for the long term.

Since 2014, Endeavor has empowered individuals through the healing potential of the horse. We are committed to ensuring financial barriers never prevent participation and continue to expand access so more individuals and families can experience life-changing equine-assisted services.

PROGRAMS THAT CHANGE LIVES
Through four core programs, Endeavor provides pathways to physical strength, emotional regulation, confidence, and connection. Each program is grounded in individualized, relationship-based experiences that support growth at every stage of life
Equine-Assisted Services (EAS) are recreational, clinical, and educational programs that partner with horses to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. Through guided activities such as riding, grooming, and ground exercises, participants of all ages and abilities build confidence, strength, coordination, communication, and social skills

Endeavor’s Therapeutic Horsemanship program served 81 riders in year-round adaptive riding sessions delivered over 36 weeks.
Individualized instructor-to-participant ratios ranged from 1:1 to 1:4, supporting children and adults with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities. Riders demonstrated measurable improvements across physical, emotional, and cognitive domains, and 36 new rider evaluations reflect growing demand.

VETERANS & ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY
Endeavor served 355 Veterans, active-duty service members, and immediate family members through weekly sessions, virtual programming, retreats, and our Veteran Family Day. Survey data shows consistent reductions in negative affect, preservation of positive emotional functioning, and 100% of surveys reporting increased feelings of pride. Partnerships with the VA Montrose and community referral sources continue to expand access to alternative pathways to healing and connection.

EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING
Engaging with horses fosters leadership skills as students navigate the challenges of working with these animals.
Endeavor’s Equine Assisted Learning program brings classroom objectives to life through handson experiences with horses, nature, and the farm.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Students build leadership, teamwork, communication, and emotional intelligence through structured ground-based activities.
Programs serve both neurodivergent and neurotypical students, creating an environment where participants can learn at their own pace without pressure or judgment.

Participants develop emotional intelligence through hands-on activities that encourage self-awareness and empathy.
Over the past year, a collective effort has transformed an overgrown space into The Endeavor Nature Center a place for gathering, exploration, and connection. With winding woodland paths, a wildflower meadow, and areas for sustainability practices, the space embodies the impact of nurturing the environment. It will serve as a setting for hands-on learning and therapeutic growth, supporting both emotional and physical well-being.

PATHWAYS: HEALING THROUGH TRUST
The Pathways Program supports youth and adults impacted by trauma, domestic violence, incarceration, and significant life disruption. Participants build trust, emotional regulation, and confidence through structured equineassisted experiences.
Long-standing partnerships with community agencies continue to bring participants back year after year.

SPRING COCKTAIL CELEBRATION
In June, we honored Endeavor’s Veteran Program with a cocktail celebration hosted at a private residence. The evening was both inspiring and welcoming, introducing new members of the community to the Endeavor family while bringing together longtime supporters. This annual gathering has become a cherished tradition that our friends eagerly anticipate each year
FALL FAMILY BBQ
The Annual Family BBQ has become a favorite tradition for many local families and was our largest event to date, welcoming 350 attendees. It brought the entire community together for an afternoon of delicious barbecue, games, and family-friendly fun. A highlight of the day was our silent auction, which generated an incredible $60k+ in support of Endeavor’s mission
PARTICIPANT HORSE SHOW
We were delighted to welcome the 2025 Participant Horse Show back to Endeavor Farm, where 30 riders took part in a special competition showcasing the skills they developed during the fall session This inspiring day was filled with smiles, cheers, and a deep sense of pride for our participants and their families. We are thrilled to continue this meaningful tradition in 2026.
A NIGHT WITH LARA LOVE HARDIN
An Evening with Lara Love Hardin brought together new members of the community in support of one of our most impactful initiatives, the Prison Program. The event featured a moderated author talk followed by an intimate private dinner at a local Bedford establishment It was a beautiful evening celebrating connection, storytelling, and the transformative power of second chances.
