Clinical trials are research studies involving human volunteers to evaluate medical products like medications, vaccines, or devices for safety and effectiveness. Participants in clinical trials should represent the patients that will use the medical products because people of different ages, races, and ethnicities may react differently to certain medical products. Many times, this is not the case; people from racial and ethnic minorities and other diverse groups may be underrepresented in clinical research.

WHY ARE YOU INTERESTED IN CLINICAL RESEARCH?

I WAS ACCIDENTALLY DIAGNOSED WITH CELIAC DISEASE I HAD A RANDOM GI BLEED AND THEY DID THE TEST AND THAT'S HOW THEY FOUND IT YOU CAN’T REALLY GO OUT TO EAT OUT, IT'S HARD TO DRINK OUT, IT'S HARD TO GROCERY SHOP I WAS INTERESTED IN ANY HELP OR RESEARCH ON THIS DISEASE BECAUSE I HAVE REALLY BAD REACTIONS TO IT ANY MEDICATION THAT COULD POSSIBLY ELIMINATE THAT WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.
