A Word From GPB CEO, Teya Ryan

Dear GPB Donor,

I hope you’ll join us this month as we journey to an Australian cattle ranch, the “horse country” of Georgia, and inside the mind of one of America’s most celebrated authors.

We kick off the month with a great addition to our Thursday night line-up of dramas with McLeod’s Daughters, the popular Australian series that follows life on a ranch run by two sisters and their all-female crew.

Next, although Earth Day is officially celebrated on April

22, every day is Earth Day for Georgia Outdoors host and producer Sharon Collins. She’s bringing us three new episodes this month: “Horse Country,” “Urban Coyotes” and “Wildfire.”

And, I can’t think of anyone better than acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns to produce the six-part series Hemingway, the story of the genius and struggles of Ernest Hemingway, who crafted some of the greatest works in American literature.

As you listen to GPB Radio in the coming days, you’ll hear us reminding you of the importance of your support. While we keep the number of days we fundraise on the air to a minimum, our Spring Radio Fund Drive is a critical time for GPB. I hope you will tune in to learn about ways you can engage with us and encourage your friends and colleagues to join you in showing their support during the campaign.

Your support makes it possible for GPB to provide programs and resources that make a difference in the communities we serve across the state and beyond. Thank you.

With gratitude,Teya Ryan
