Travel with Encore as we explore the exciting music, movement, and magic of Broadway musicals! Each day will focus on a different musical hit. With props and imagination, students will bring favorite musicals to life. Students will also enjoy theatre games, crafts, and activities. Enrollment is a la carte--enroll for select days or the entire week!

Students ages 14 and older are invited to apply to work as Camp Aides at Encore’s summer programs. These paid opportunities are an excellent way to begin building your work experience, and perfect if you love theatre and working with younger children. To apply visit www.encorestage.org. College and graduate students and recent graduates are invited to apply for Encore’s Summer Internship program. Internships are available in the areas of Education, Arts Management and Technical Theatre/Stage Management. Education interns will have the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of students and collaborate with professional teaching artists on curriculum, lesson planning, and final performances. The Stage Management intern will serve as the Technical Director at Stage Door and work as a key member of the production team for Encore’s presentation of Once Upon a Mattress. All requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent to our mailing address: PO Box 969, Arlington, VA 22216. • No refunds will be issued for summer camp after June 1.
Late Pick Up • Parents will be assessed a $10.00 charge if a child is picked up 15 minutes after camp ends and an additional $1.00 per minute thereafter. Please pick up on time. No camp will be held on July 4.
Scholarships • To ensure the participation of all interested students, Encore Stage & Studio offers full and partial scholarships for all of our classes and camps. It’s Elementary Ages 4-9 Join us this summer for an exciting theatre adventure! Teaching Artists will channel the energy and imagination of our young campers through story drama and character creation. Students will explore their creativity through movement, crafts, and theatre games during this fun and engaging two-week camp. Students will be divided into age groups. Students ages 6 and up will experiment with scripted drama. Each session will feature a unique theme and final performance. Get your friends together for two weeks of theatrical fun! During Scenes for Tweens, students will develop their performance skills through character study, movement, and improvisation while exploring concepts of creativity and teamwork. Each camp session has a different theme. This summer, we’ll start by exploring dazzling tales of daring adventure in Session 1, then move on to the art of making an audience laugh in Session 2. For Session 3, it’s all about musical theatre when our popular Summer Showstoppers theme returns. And in Session 4, travel with us as we discover fabulous tales set in the rainforests and jungles of South America.

In this conservatory-style program, students will engage in a variety of workshops including dance, vocal technique, physical comedy, and stage combat. Students will also have the chance to learn basic elements of technical theatre as they prepare for their production. Each day will include acting, singing, and dance rehearsals, and each student will be challenged to develop their own creativity and work as part of a team while gaining valuable stage experience.
