From our Board President and Executive Director Dear Encore community, We are so glad to be back on stage and sharing theatre with you again! Encore Stage & Studio marked the close of fiscal year 2021 with auditions for The Hobbit—the last step in our return to full programming with mainstage productions. In 2020, our Board made hard choices and worked to maintain the financial health of Encore while never losing sight of our mission. Our tireless staff, our dedicated board, and our supportive community banded together for a successful 2021. Encore is proud to provide arts opportunities for children, youth, and families in our community. We celebrate the success of our summer camp that served over 800 children in summer camp (all outdoors!) Flip the Script continued its legacy with student creativity and sharing. Encore remained committed to live theatre, producing drive-through productions and ending the year with those long-awaited auditions. Heading into 2022, we are embracing opportunities and growing in new ways, guided by our recently adopted strategic plan. Live theatre and the skills it reinforces are irreplaceable. Mission
No intermission from opportunities Serving almost 15,000 children and families in a typical season, Encore brings high-quality, age-appropriate theatrical productions staffed by young people to the community and offers a vibrant selection of enriching classes, workshops and summer programs. In 2020-21, Encore met every challenge to fulfill our mission. We led the way with outdoor classes and camps. With drive-through plays produced in parking lots in snow and in the hot sun, we lifted spirits in our community. All children deserve to experience the lifechanging power of the arts—so we reached out to new community partners and gave children their first taste of theatre classes.

We are looking ahead from a position of strength. Difficult choices, the unyielding dedication of staff and board, and the support of many led to our firm financial footing at the end of FY21.
