This visibility has been increased by a constant presence at trade fairs: Intercharm Milan, Cosmoprof Bologna, Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong, Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas, Hair Brasil in San Paolo.

PRODUCT AND DESIGN While product innovation has always been the strategy implemented by UKI to aggressively address the market, relying on internationally renowned designers, fully respecting the traditions of the Maletti Group, is its core.

The first product to stand out for its innovation and design was certainly UKI Ionic, the hairdryer designed by Ross Lovegrove, which in addition to its unusual and “organic� forms offered a new ergonomic style for hairdryers, a new way of using this tool which has been greatly appreciated by famous hair stylists.

Another star item in the UKI portfolio which marked an important turning point is the essential trolley, Manhattan, the work of the sophisticated and highly renowned Parisian designer Didier Gomez.

The hair straighteners in the On Line range, curling irons in the On Round range and the Black Compact hairdryer launched in 2007, probably marked the greatest synergy between technology, performance and design in the whole sector in terms of electrical accessories.

2008 saw the launch of two very important products: the Wavemaster curling iron - able to produce different types of curls in just one simple operation, to give hair styles a more natural appearance - and the revolutionary trolley Up Grade, available both as a service trolley (Up Grade Styling) and in the version for colouring (Up Grade Colouring). Up Grade is the result of in-depth research and combines the technological performance of the materials used, a small size, great storage capacity and a design that suits any kind of furnishing.

In 2009 Uki International once again revolutionised the market with the presentation of two particularly innovative new products: Uki Steril, the first designer steriliser, the work of Profilo

Design, and Loop, a compact professional razor with an exceptional design created by

Bicube Design (a veritable novelty in this sector).
