Birth: July 4, 1951, Valencia - Venezuela. Painter and recorder. Daughter of Carlos Rafael Rojas and María Enriqueta Véliz. He studied at the School of Geography of the UCV, where he obtained a degree (1976). Between 1986 and 1988 he studied painting, drawing, engraving and art history at the School of Plastic Arts of San Juan de Puerto Rico. Later, he completed a master's degree in art, mentioning plastic arts at UPEL (Caracas, 2000). Active since the mid-eighties, at the end of the following decade the artist is interested in expressing in her works the thick textures, the earthy colors, the spontaneous planes and the lines of vibrant colors. His paintings "highlight the erratic, the unnoticed, the unusual, the altered and the referential telluric of geographic territoriality and at the same time of urban fragmentation" (Matos, 2002). Among his participation in collective exhibitions stand out: "Sample for peace" (National University, Santo Domingo, 1983), "Drawing of graphics" (Proposed Research Center, Santo Domingo, 1983), IV Municipal Painting Exhibition of Cagua (House) of the Culture Jorge R. Gómez, Cagua, Edo. Aragua, 1983), II Biennial of Drawing and Engraving (Museum de Arte La Rinconada, Caracas, 1984), XLII Michelena Hall (1985), X Aragua Hall (Maracay Art Museum, 1985), X Municipal Painting Hall (Maracay, 1985), V TAGA Biennial (1986), VII Biennial of San Juan of the Latin American and Caribbean Engraving (Institute of Puerto Rican Culture, San Juan de Puerto Rico, 1986), III National Biennial of Drawing and Engraving (La Rinconada Art Museum, Caracas, 1986), "Made in Venezuela" (Gallery La Escuela, Barranquilla, Colombia, 1986), IV National Regional Biennial of Plastic Arts (Municipal Gallery of Modern Art, Puerto La Cruz, 1989), "Tribute to Ikeda" (Embassy of Venezuela, Tokyo, 1998) and X Biennial of Miniatures Graphics Homage to Gert Leufert (CAF, Caracas, 2002). Since 2001, she works as an assistant professor at UNESR (Caracas).
