Elena Gil, is a Venezuelan artist who, being very young, began painting under the tutelage of the master Lucio Rivas. She is an architect graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in 1967. During 1976 he studied figure drawing with the painter Fidel Santamaría. In the 1970s he founded «EL TALLERCITO», a gallery dedicated to promoting the work of plastic artists of various disciplines (ceramics, enamels, painting, drawing) and teaches classes of initiation to drawing and painting children and young people. In 1984 he studied «Fine Arts» at the University of Colorado (Boulder, Colorado, USA). In 1985 he is interested in graphic arts and starts studies at CEGRA (Centro de Enseñanza Gráfica) until 1987. Parallel studies restoration with Lilian Álvarez. He has made several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous collective and biennial in Venezuela and abroad. Elena Gil is widely represented in public collections. and private in Venezuela and abroad.
