LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

SELECTED WORKS

As a third year landscape architecture student minoring in horticulture, I am passionate about connecting people with plants. I am especially drawn to planting design, community-centered landscapes, and fostering environmental stewardship through design and education.

In my free time, I love exploring the outdoors, whether I am hiking or just observing. I also enjoy baking and crafts, which keep me continuously inspired.

01 rewilding urbana

LOCATION: URBANA, ILLINOIS

This project highlights the re-establishment of urban connectivity in a previously underutilized space. The site is sandwiched between a busy road, restaurants, wine library, and an impervious parking lot. This design maximizes its prime location potential and puts great emphasis on greening the community through the implementation of various biodiversity-supporting gardens. This revitalizing space successfully creates new pedestrian connections, introduces phytoremediation, provides food-growing opportunities, and capitalizes on nearby local businesses.

02 campus courtyard

LOCATION: URBANA, ILLINOIS

This courtyard makeover aims to transform a neglected space into an appealing area that provides a sense of place for students. The site is located near a popular bus stop, but it lacks accessibility, visibility, and nature, and is overall unwelcoming. This design works to combat those issues by creating opportunities for socialization, contributing to a more resilient campus environment, and extending seasonal use.

SITE ANALYSIS

03 firestone peaks park

LOCATION: URBANA, ILLINOIS

This project began with a photocomposition, which represents the past, present, and future characteristics of the site. The triangle site has historically always been urban: it held a flatiron building and Texaco gas station in the past, and now exists the Firestone Auto Care building. In order to combat the deep layers of rubble and gasoline in the soil, this design uses Firestone-roof-shaped mounds that encapsulate layers of brick and concrete to provide places for nature to take over.

The Chaumont-Sur-Loire International Garden Festival held the theme of “Once Upon a Time, in The Garden” for the year of 2025. This design encapsulates the feeling of being told a fairytale. “Once upon a time” signals the reader or listener to enter a world of imagination. “Once upon a time” is a mindset.
