Not all curved glass is the same. When the market demands impeccable optical quality, increasingly complex geometries and shorter lead times, you need technology capable of transforming every sheet into a high value-added product.
Curvex was created for this very purpose. A new-generation furnace that combines high-quality bending with the practicality and flexibility of a fully extendible work surface, enabling profitable, repeatable and easily scalable production. Curvex has been designed to meet the needs of manufacturers who wish to stand out from the standard market and access higher-margin projects.
4
a single technology, multiple applications A versatile technology, developed to meet the needs of various sectors: architecture, interior design, furniture, the automotive industry, panoramic balustrades, nautical and specialised applications.
5
Uncompromising visual quality Curvex’s technology ensures uniform and controlled heat distribution across the entire surface of the glass, facilitating the creation of precise and repeatable bending whilst helping to preserve the optical quality of the finished product.
The result is a final product characterised by: • • • • •
high optical quality minimal deformations process stability consistent results over time reduction in production waste
Because every piece must be a benchmark, not a trial run. 6
temperature control
Precision static bending The solution combines a controlled heating system with automated handling, ensuring precise control of the entire cycle. The glass is handled within the furnace by an automatic laser shuttle, which ensures it is positioned with high accuracy during the various stages of the process. This allows for the control of cycle times, positioning and operating conditions, ensuring the consistency of the resulting geometry. The furnace configuration can be customised according to the required productivity, adapting to different volumes and specific production requirements. A configurable solution that allows the process to be optimised according to the customer’s actual needs.
Curvex 7
Designed to produce, not to wait This means: The removable trolley allows operators to prepare the next cycle whilst the furnace completes the process.
• • • • •
Reduction in downtime Greater utilisation of the plant Rapid loading and unloading Simplified set-ups Ergonomics and operational safety
Every minute saved translates into productivity
Energy where it’s needed Thanks to intelligent management of the heating zones, heat is concentrated exclusively in the areas necessary for bending.
better control of the process
reduced energy consumption
greater thermal uniformity
lower cost per unit produced
The benefits are clear:
