HELLO & WELCOME! I’m Emma, Wife to one, Mother to three and photographer of many! Lover of chocolate, cocktails, cats & sunshine.

I'm a Morrinsville girl at heart, having spent most my life there before making the move to the small rural village Tauwhare a few years ago. For those that are not familiar with the area, it's located bang-smack in the middle of Morrinsville, Hamilton, Cambridge and Matamata which makes it super central.

So, this photography gig...

I have been professionally shooting for over 13 years, YES, THIRTEEN whole years! During this time I have been ticking a few things off the old photographer bucket list: - NZIPP Qualified Portrait Photographer through NZIPP - TICK - Collect a few awards for creative talents - TICK - Feature in the media, mentor other photographers - TICK, TICK - Photography judge and guest speaker - no worries, I got this, TICK! I guess you could say I'm a seasoned pro and you are in very capable hands here. I have pretty much seen it all so there’s something in my toolkit for nearly every eventuality.

Why Photography?

Well YOU of course! You are my why!

I love people and the way they connect with each other. Families, their stories, the early days with a new baby. All of these incredibly fleeting moments that string together in this thing we call life. It's worth capturing, and capturing well. You deserve to have beautiful images to look back on, to showcase in your home, to share with the people you love and leave as part of your family’s history.

If you are new here this booklet will give you an insight to the portrait experience I offer and a bit of information about what to expect along the way.

Together we can make the session fun and enjoyable for all, no matter what age the children are. It is my personal mission to work out what makes your crew laugh and get their personalities to shine through in your images. Got a hesitant Dad in the mix or a child that loves to get a bit crazy? Don’t worry, I got you!

YOUR PORTRAITS, YOUR WAY My extensive collection of props means I can adapt to your chosen style. Whether you like soft, neutral and organic to keep your images as timeless as possible or if you prefer a wide range of colours and want to keep up with latest photography trends I can tailor the session to suit your preferences. We can cover off your ideals before the session so that you get the most out of our time together.

DIGITAL FILES YES, I offer digital files! We all love them, they're convenient and make sharing your images with family and friends a breeze. So yes, of course I offer digital files in packages because I understand the value of these to many people. BUT, equally important is having something in printed form for you to enjoy on the daily, so included in all of my digital packages are print credits to ensure that every client walks away with something beautifully printed too.

Your special memories deserve so much more than a USB and can’t be enjoyed when they’re tucked away in a drawer.

As a full service photographer I offer a range of professional prints, frames and wall art that can be enjoyed for many moons to come!

3 EASY STEPS HOW IT ALL WORKS FOR BUSY PARENTS

STEP 1 - SESSION VOUCHER Grab yourself a session voucher. There’s currently a voucher sale on which is FABULOUS timing for you!

VOUCHER OFFER: 2 Hour Newborn portrait session which can include parents &/or siblings. We have the entire session to capture as many different images and combinations as we can.

1 Hour viewing & design session, held in studio.

1x Complimentary 5x7” print.

was $360, NOW $199 Prints, wall art and digital packages are then available for purchase from my extensive collection, some of which are outlined further in this guide.

STEP 2 - YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION Your portrait session will be created to your personal taste and held in my Tauwhare home-studio, it is a warm, comfortable, purpose built space that is perfect for little people.

Tauwhare is centrally located in the Waikato and only 15 minutes from Morrinsville, Hamilton CBD and Cambridge which means your baby may arrive sleepy from the short journey and can be a great start to your session.

The session takes approximately 2 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding and settling in between. We work around baby’s needs and gently encourage sleep with one of my tried and true soothing techniques.

STEP 3 - VIEWING & SESSION Approximately 2 weeks after your portrait session has taken place we book in a time for you to come to the studio to view and select your images which will be showcased on a large projector screen. I will guide you through the entire process and make it super easy for you to choose which images you would like to take home as well as design wall art and print layouts.

Specialized design software allows for digitized frame mock-ups so that you can see exactly how any printed artwork will look and select frames from the bespoke and signature collections using samples in the studio.

THE STUDIO

A purpose-built space for portrait space for babies which includes a prop library and selection of accessories of all colours from neutral tones through to a rainbow of colour.

The studio is also the hub for viewing and deign appointments with print and frame samples on display.

FAQ

What do we wear?

This is by far the most commonly asked question. If you are the type of person that LOVES a cohesive look to your images then I would recommend choosing a colour palette and running that through the family. A couple of combinations are grey, navy and white OR natural earthy/beige tones look beautiful with cream. Choosing 3 colours and alternating these in different combinations whilst bringing in everyone's personal style is one way to bring everyone's outfits together. BUT, colour coordinated and matching outfits are not for every family - you want to feel comfortable and look like yourselves so please do what is right for your family and personal taste. I do however recommend steering clear of fluro and large logos as these can be quite distracting in an image.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes I do. These are available through Klarna and Zip. There are no set up fees and payment plans are interest free. Plus you can take home your goodies while you are paying them off! Yes of course, as part of the retouching process I will remove scratches, grazes and bruises that are visible.

The only portraits you’ll ever regret are those you never had taken.

Each digital packages is accompanied with a print credit for you to spend so that you can also choose something printed to take home alongside your beautiful USB. Digital packages start at $599

FRAMED WALL ART Available in a range of sizes as either a single frame, a statement piece or as a set of framed images that tell a complete story. Every frame comes finished, ready for you to hang.

Single frames start at $280.

Pictured here is a classic white 11x14” frame worth $280.

MATTED PRINTS The highest quality prints finished in a white mat ready for you to frame at home or gift to family.

Volume discounts apply on these, the more you buy, the more you save!
