PROGRAM BREAKDOWN DAY 1 | FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH

DIVERSIFYING YOUR NETWORK (PANEL) This first session will cover how to build a more diverse professional and personal network- and why it's important to do so! By diversifying your network you not only benefit the industry, but also your professionalism. By connecting with individuals who offer different insights and experience, you can better represent your audience, and gain a better understanding of experiences outside of your own. Our insightful speakers will be proving the value of your professional network when it comes to getting jobs in your professional career!

PERSONAL BRANDING: SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS! (WORKSHOP) This first Workshop will allow attendees to take a critical look at their current professional image. From your social media platforms to your personal and professional passions, branding yourself is a key tool in the world of public relations. We will be joined by communications expert, Matt Prince. Matt will be discussing the importance of a personal brand, how to discover yours, and how to build it out. Set yourself up for success with this first workshop!

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN DAY 1 | FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: (HOSTED BY PRSSA NATIONAL) National Committee member, Kayla Holley, will be leading the Leadership Summit to discuss conflict resolution, leadership styles and empowerment tips as they relate to the communication sphere.

PAST THE SCREEN: FURTHER THAN SOCIAL MEDIA (PANEL) This panel will offer expertise from speakers who work heavily in the social media PR sphere on a day-to-day basis. They have unique experience dealing with hardhitting situations, as well as an understanding of crisis communication strategies. They will also offer their insight on how to cultivate conversations via social media and maintain a long-running, effective social media campaign. We will be having professionals from the industry with experience launching impactful campaigns using various social media platforms.

A GROWING INDUSTRY: NEW CAREERS (PANEL) Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from individuals who are making D & I their career. These talented professionals will bring their knowledge in their craft to the forefront as they discuss what it's like to work in this growing career space. They will offer exclusive tips and tricks into entering the workplace, as well as their day to day tasks in each of their roles.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN DAY 2 | SATURDAY, APRIL 9TH

PROFESSIONALS ACROSS THE BOARD (PANEL) This panel will include professionals from an agency setting, from an in-house non-profit organization, as well as from the public affairs sphere. Each professional will discuss their own day-to-day assignments, and their experience working in their respective fields. The speakers will answer a set of questions that allows the audience to get insight into both the similarities and the differences between each of these career paths and work environments.

POST GRADUATION DEEP DIVE (WORKSHOP) This workshop will be a deep dive on relevant post-grad skills. Our amazing speaker will showcase hard hitting career skills as attendees take hands on notes. Get insight on how to build your personal brand and highlight your skills in a cohesive well-informed format. Attendees will be able to take notes in their digital briefcase while upgrading their resume to score their dream job post-graduation. Learn how to cater your resume, portfolio, and cover letter to each job you apply for. The final 10 minutes will be dedicated to a Q & A for attendees to ask specific questions about job applications, interviews, and resumes.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN DAY 2 | SATURDAY, APRIL 9TH

LEADERSHIP, PROFESSIONALISM, & EMPOWERMENT (KEYNOTE) Candace Hamana will present a detailed keynote on working in the communications field and a career in D & I. "I am a compassionate and proven public relations and strategic communications professional with experience in politics and policy and specialization in tribal affairs and media relations. I am the owner of Badger PR and founder of the Indigenous Peoples Public Relations Association."

CONNECT & NETWORK: 'BUSINESS CARD' EXCHANGE This will be an open opportunity to network with your fellow PRSSA students and professionals from across the country! Bring your digital business card or have your LinkedIn ready to share as you hop in and out of breakout rooms with individuals from across the nation. Take your time as you discuss your PR passions with one another. Speakers will be available for one-on-one discussions, as well as Executive Board Members from multiple chapters, and industry professionals both local and national! *Tip* Like using Canva?
