‘I think that the sole purpose in life is to love. But the purpose of love itself, I don’t think there is a purpose. To love someone or something, isn’t to compromise your whole self to satisfy the other person, but it’s to let yourself grow emotionally beyond your own self. Love comes with no instructions but the most important kind of love and most difficult is the love you have for yourself. I believe that selflove is our biggest purpose in life. Love goes beyond getting into a relationship and there are different types of love. We seem to confuse being in love and loving someone. But at the end of the day, love is love.’

‘I have always been a big believer that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! As cliche as it sounds it’s true- we all have different likes and dislikes. Someones least favorite thing about themselves can be another persons favorite feature about them. Beauty is subjective and that’s okay because we all have different tastes, which isn’t bad! It connects us all and allows us to deepen our thoughts as to why we feel the way we do. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen are the sunsets in Barra de Navidad. Barra is a peninsula so it’s a beach town- and when the sun hits the ocean it’s absolutely breathtaking, it’s a moment I could live in forever.’

Alongside the clouds are sparkling bulb lights that illuminate my surroundings. I see glistening blue waterfalls of tiny diamonds. ‘I find that mindful meditating and journaling keeps me grounded. Oftentimes I find myself overthinking or feeling overwhelmed, which leads to a wave of emotions that sometimes dominate my state of mind. The act of meditating allows me to express my emotions in a controlled manner- and allows me to create a safe place to observe all the sensations I am feeling. Giving yourself a moment to pause from the busy-ness of life will make us acknowledge these messages our mind and body send us. We are constantly in motion and are reacting to every moment- but if we allow ourselves to stop, breath, and acknowledge the sensations we are feeling, then it gives our internal world a voice and we develop a better understanding of our being.’
