ENGAGE IN PRAISE & WORSHIP We believe that all people were created to worship God. One of the ways we do that is by placing him first in our lives. During weekly services kids will have the chance to worship God through singing & music. We believe this is an important part of our relationship with God and therefore prioritize time spent in His presence.
BE PART OF A CONNECT GROUP At Emmanuel we value being in community with other Christians so that we can grow! This is why we have connect group time every Sunday during the last half of service. We want kids to receive agespecific discussion and application of the message, to have a consistent, familiar connect group leader and to grow with their peers.
DEVELOP A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and is His revelation of Himself to humankind of his plan for salvation. That's why everything we teach is founded in scripture! It's also why we make a point for kids to read directly from the Bible during connect group time using the SOAP method of Bible Study. Our hope is to help kids understand the Big Story of the Bible and move them from knowledge to application of God’s word in their every day life.
MAKE FRIENDS AT CHURCH Kids who have friends at church will want to return to church! Being surrounded by friends who are believers in Christ will help kids grow in their faith together.
A HEART TO SERVE It's true that kids are the future leaders of our church, but they can also be leaders right now! We believe that God has placed gifts in each child in which they can grow in Emmanuel Kids. We offer opportunities for kids to serve in worship, first impressions, drama and production teams, in addition to teaching kids how to grow in loving their neighbors, praying for them, and leading them to Jesus.

KIDS As kids begin to understand the importance of sharing the message of Jesus in their communities and all over the world, our desire is to create opportunities for kids to exercise a heart of generosity and compassion through Emmanuel Kids. TITHING (PROVERBS 3:9-10) Tithing is the Biblical command that 10% of everything we have is given back to God. We explain to the kids that this what allows us to do ministry every week. It is also a personal practice of giving God our first, not the left overs and trusting that He is our provider.
KINGDOM BUILDERS (1 CORINTHIANS 9:6-7) Emmanuel currently supports over 100 Missionaries through KB. We believe that God has called us to a life of purpose. Part of that is supporting and continuing the expansion of God’s Kingdom so more people can know Him as their personal Savior. Every few months your kids will be encouraged to participate in ways they can build God’s Kingdom.
GLOBAL GOAL: Every Emmanuel Kids will have a church wide goal of raising $3,000 for Missions through Kingdom Builders! Annual Goal: $12,000 LOCAL GOALS: Kids will be encouraged to rake leaves, have lemonade stands or bake sales, car washes to help spread the love of Jesus in their community. We also have our INVITE NIGHT called Kids Xtreme on Wednesdays (K-5th grade)! EMMANUEL INITIATIVES: Miracle Offering- Thanksgiving Boxes- Teacher Appreciation- Serve Day and more! Every quarter Emmanuel works to partner with the community to bless others!
BIBLE READING MATTERS! It's one thing to read scripture, and a completely different thing to slow down long enough to study scripture. Our goal is to move kids from knowing about the Bible to applying it to their daily life.

By teaching them SOAP we are giving them the tools they need to slow down and focus on what God is speaking to them through Scripture. Bible Reading is a crucial part of building a Biblical Worldview for the next generation.
SCRIPTURE Read or write down the scripture that you will be studying.
OBSERVATION What made you say, ‘Oh Wow!’ What do you see in the verses you are reading? Who is the audience? What is repeated? What words stand out or what is the main lesson?
APPLICATION When God's word becomes personal. What is God saying to me today? How does this scripture apply to my life? How will I live differently after reading this?
PRAYER Pray God's word back to Him. If He has revealed something to you during this time in His Word, pray about it. Confess if He has revealed some sin that is in your life. Take time to thank Him for His goodness in your life.
