Read DANIEL 10:1-12 aloud and discuss these questions in your group: 1) When did you first learn about prayer & fasting?

How did learning about prayer & fasting impact you?

2) How would you describe your prayer life? Lively?

Dull? What do you think needs to be changed?

Read 2 CHRONICLES 7:11-16; MATT. 18:18-20 (NIV) aloud and discuss these questions in your group: 1) Describe a time when you did something with a team. Was it a good experience or a bad experience?

2) God partners with many people in the Bible to accomplish His will? Why do you think God works this way?

3) God wants to partner with us in Prayer! How might this thought influence your prayer life or relationship with the Lord?

4) We have the authority to Bind (to stop spiritual forces from controlling people) and Loose (to call on the power of heaven’s to disarm the power of the enemy and see people freed). Why might this concept of prayer be important to a believer’s life?

5) Pastor Nate said that we must align our hearts with heaven, receive God’s grace & authority, and use the authority Jesus gives us to partner with God in prayer. Which of the three actions may seem the most difficult to do and why?

Read MARK 4:21-32 aloud and discuss these questions in your group: 1) Describe the first time you heard the Good New of Jesus. How did hearing the message change you?

2) What do you think it means to be a light for Christ?

What are some challenges to being a light for Christ?

3) What does the parable of the ground (v.26-29) teach us about growth? Why might this persepctive be important?

4) God has given each of us the ability to do good and be a light in dark places. Does this encourage you or cause a bit of anxiety? Why? 5) God care about Everyone Everywhere, even the people we may not like or have challenges with. If we what to be a light, how can we overcome the obstacles between us and those we may find challenging to interact with?

In this weeks discussion we will learn more about how faith and authority work together for breakthrough.

Read LUKE 7:1-10 aloud and discuss these questions in your group: 1) Was it easy or difficult for you to accept authority growing up (parents, teachers, etc.)? Why was it easy or difficult?

2) What do you think are challenges to accepting God’s authority?

3) Accepting God’s authority may be contingent on the trust that we have in Him! What are some practical ways we can trust in God (Proverbs 3:5-6)?

4) Pastor Nate shared about the importance and benefits of submitting to earthly authorities. What are some ways you can honor people with earthly authority (even when you don't like them)?

5) Pastor Nate said that, “if we are sending words to Jesus & asking for breakthrough, then we need to make sure our words match our faith”. Take time to share about how you can align your words with our faith in Christ.

Read EPHESIANS 4:25-32 aloud and discuss these questions in your group: 1) Describe a silly argument that you and a friend or a family member had. How was it resolved?

2) How would you describe forgiveness?

3) Scripture says “Be angry, but do not sin”. What do you think this means? If it is not a sin to be angry, then what are healthy ways to manage anger?

4) This scripture describes how we are supposed to forgive others “even as” or just as God has forgiven us. What are some of the characteristics of God’s forgiveness?

5) What are the challenges of forgiving others and how can we overcome them?
