EMMANUEL KINGDOM BUILDERS

Mark 16:15
This command Jesus gave was not just for the disciples or for church leaders, it’s for you and me and our families.
We have One Mission. Our Mission.
Our vision at Emmanuel is for EVERYONE to know Jesus, to grow together, and to live with purpose. Jodi and I are so passionate about giving to Kingdom Builders every year because it is a vessel for everyone to know Jesus. Kingdom Builders partners with the most incredible missionaries and ministries in the world. I get so excited when I pray over this list and think of the Kingdom impact as we invest in each project!
In this booklet you will see some numbers and statistics about the impact that your generosity is making. At times, statistics can feel impersonal, but our goal is that we remember that every statistic represents a person whose life has been touched by your giving. The larger the Emmanuel family grows and the bigger the Kingdom Builders numbers get, the more we focus on every dollar making an eternal impact in lives here at home and around the world. We’re excited for those of you who will choose to give more in 2023, whether it is your first time giving above the tithe or if it is a commitment to live out a new level of generosity.
TOGETHER we pray, give, and go as an answer to Jesus’ command. Jesus has entrusted us with carrying out the hope of salvation to the world! He’s given us One Mission. Our Mission.
Jesus said to them,“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
Kingdom Builders is Emmanuel’s strategic approach to funding missions and outreach and equipping future leaders. Part of Emmanuel’s mission statement is to live with purpose. We believe living a life of purpose includes using our resources to fuel the mission of God through prayer, generous giving, and going where the Lord leads.
Together, we partner with over 100 missionaries, ministries, and organizations who are doing strategic work among those who need it most. These ministries, through your generous support, are reaching the lost, serving the poor, and changing the world!
Kingdom Builders champions three areas: Global missions, Local church expansion and outreach, and Future Christian leader initiatives.
Our heart at Emmanuel is to be a house of prayer for all nations. This means that we are a praying church, a sending church, and a going church. There are still approximately 7,000 Unreached People Groups that represent 3.51 billion people who have never heard the name of Jesus. An Unreached People Group is defined as a region of people that has less than 2% Christians, no active church, and, most likely, no access to a Bible in their language.
Kingdom Builders partners with missionaries and organizations like Live Dead, China Unreached, The Great Himalayan Project, and many more that are using their efforts to bring the Kingdom to some of the most unreached and under-resourced areas in the world.
Venture spends their greatest energy to address the world’s greatest injustices, including human trafficking, refugee crises, and extreme poverty. They intentionally target areas with less than a 2% Gospel witness and also receive less than 1% of all Christian giving.
Focus 7,000 is a project that specifically targets ministries among the approximately 7,000 people groups that have no access to the name of Jesus. Our heart is for the least reached and least resourced to be able to encounter the love of Jesus and radically change entire nations for His Kingdom!
Change the Map is a prayer, advocacy, and church planting movement to reach the approximately 1 billion Buddhists in the world who need Jesus. A group of our missionary partners started this initiative when they were inspired by a map that showed the nations with the highest percentage of Buddhists. We believe in the power of prayer! The love of Jesus can and will change the map through our concentrated prayers!
Everyone far from Jesus is equally lost and equally loved. We won’t stop until all nations have access to the powerful Gospel of Jesus.
“For ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’”
1.45 billion people, speaking 5,509 languages, do not have a full Bible in their first language. That represents about 20% of the global population and 75% of the world’s languages.
Without God’s Word in someone’s heart language, they may not fully understand the love God has for them or the overarching narrative of God’s redemptive plan and what their purpose is in that plan.
Gujarat
Our Kingdom Builders Partner, Fire Bible, has been working to translate their Spirit-filled Study Bible into over 50 languages with over 10 million copies already distributed. This year our project will continue to help fund Bible translation specifically for the Gujarati language.
Situated along the northwestern shoreline of India, next to the border of Pakistan, is the Indian state of Gujarat.
There are approximately 55 million Gujarati speakers worldwide. Hindu is the main religion, and with little opportunity to hear about Jesus, very few Christians (estimated at about 0.52%) live among the Gujarati.
How can anyone know that God loves them if they cannot read it for themselves? And how can anyone disciple their communities if they have no resources to do so?
“
Thank you Kingdom Builders for giving our family the opportunity to live in and love Mozambique. We are fully aware that every healing, every life transformed from darkness to light, every worship time with hungry college students, and every church planted would not be possible without you. You all go with us and for that we are so grateful.”
As you read this, there are at least 22 million people in America who are struggling with some form of substance abuse and 45 million people directly impacted by addiction. Minnesota has one of the highest alcohol addiction rates in the United States. Mental illness has been on the rise for years. The global pandemic increased anxiety and isolation, which opened doors for addictions to grow. The need for freedom is prevalent, and thankfully, there are many ministries that have tangible programs to help people experience true freedom!
ICCM Life Center in downtown Minneapolis is working as the hands and feet of Jesus to meet both physical and spiritual needs. They do incredible outreach every Friday night with their Street Team and are transforming their community one life at a time!
Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge is an incredible ministry that helps people be set free from addictions and strongholds by discovering their true identity in Christ and receiving professional counseling. Eighty percent of their graduates have reported zero to one lapses after the program, compared to the 43 percent average across the country in other programs. We love that many Teen Challenge graduates call Emmanuel home, and we’re grateful to sow into the lasting fruit that this ministry brings to so many lives!
22 million people in America struggle with substance abuse

80% of MN Adult and Teen Challenge graduates report 0-1 lapses after the program compared to the 43% average
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities provides help and hope to men and women facing addiction through Christ-centered recovery. As men and women heal from their addictions and they personally grow, families can come back together. Parents reunite with their kids. Loved ones are reconnected. And whole communities are restored.
“The Union Gospel Mission has changed me completely. Three years ago my only thoughts were: where I would sleep, where I would get drugs, would I be in jail or out of jail? Now I’m sober and going to college. I have a lot more hopes and dreams now.”
-Brad, former Union Gospel Mission attendee
The cycles of generational abuse, addiction, and incarceration have existed for far too long. It’s time we help break the cycle. Our Kingdom Builders Partner, The Pando App, gives inmates access to streamed sermons, worship music, devotionals, a digital Bible, and even Emmanuel’s messages on a tablet behind bars.
In just two years, Pando has reached over 450,000 inmates all across the US and has seen over 79,000 inmates give their lives to Christ! In 2023 we believe we can help them reach 1,000,000 prisoners with the hope of Jesus.
Dear Pando people,
I’ve been incarcerated for 3 years. I was transferred to a new facility a year ago. It is a dark, evil, violent, terrible place… The Pando App has helped me through some very dark and difficult times. You all have helped me to stay close to God in a place where it is sometimes hard to believe He exists. What you all are doing and the difference you all are making in people’s lives is amazing, absolutely amazing! I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You help us to feel human. You help us stay connected. You make us feel loved and important. The music is healing and inspiring. The messages are what teaches me and keeps me going. All of the people involved with the Pando App, the churches, etc. are truly making a difference for the Kingdom of our Savior, bringing people to Jesus and closer to Him everyday. I really can’t thank you enough.
Sincerely, Colleen
Our hearts are burdened by these statistics our Kingdom Builders partner shared with us:
Each year domestic violence affects 10 million people 10M
15
An act of domestic violence takes place every 15 seconds in the U.S.
One in four women report experiencing domestic violence in their lifetime
One in seven men report experiencing domestic violence in their lifetime
Through licensed counseling, safety plans, and support groups, our Kingdom Builders partner, Door of Hope, does the sacred work of ministering to those who have experienced domestic violence. The Dwelling Place offers safe, transitional housing, provision of basic daily needs, trauma-informed supportive services, educational programs, and mentoring! What women
need most in these situations is the precious gift of time needed for safety, healing, and personal development that equips them and their children to live free from abuse. We are grateful for these and our other local partners who are meeting the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of those healing from abuse.
“The man who was supposed to cherish me didn’t just trample my young body, he trampled my soul. Isolation became my way to self-medicate. Door of Hope is where I process every pain and anguish, and leave with the hope and light of Jesus, all without condemnation or comparison…because no one’s pain is illegitimate.”
