Welcome to my portfolio Emma Martin

I am currently a Marketing & Design Executive at a large, national property maintenance provider working within the Marketing and Comms Team that supports the parent company and its several subsidiaries. I am looking for an opportunity to utilise my experience in a new design role.

Project One: This brochure was created for one of the property maintenance group’s brands to showcase its Responsive Repairs service. Used by the business development, bid, and operational teams, it serves as a key marketing asset for communicating service capabilities and value. As part of a wider suite of service brochures, the design needed to feel consistent with the overall range while maintaining a distinct identity for the service and brand. My role included reviewing content, collaborating with copywriters, and designing the brochure in line with brand guidelines, while ensuring clear communication and a professional, engaging presentation.

Project Two: A full-page advertisement created for a sector directory, targeted specifically at the NHS and healthcare market. The project required audience-focused messaging and imagery to ensure relevance and impact within the sector. I managed the project from concept to final artwork, including copywriting, sourcing key procurement framework information, creating CTAs and QR codes, and designing the layout to specification. Working to a tight deadline, I delivered print- and digital-ready artwork that effectively communicated the company’s services to a specialist audience.

Project Three: ‘People First’ is an internal communications brand created to share people-focused news and updates across the business. The brief was to build on elements of the parent brand while creating a more approachable, engaging identity that would stand out in busy inboxes and have a less corporate feel. I developed the brand from concept through to rollout, including logo design, a custom hand-drawn icon set, repeat pattern graphics, image frames, and email templates. The identity was designed for use across multiple channels, including email campaigns, HR and recruitment presentations, and the company newsletter. All assets were created with accessibility and ease of use in mind, enabling teams across the business to apply the brand consistently without specialist design software.

Project Four: This ESG Strategy document was developed for the newly merged group company, outlining its environmental, social, and governance ambitions and impact. As the first edition, it established a visual approach for communicating complex information clearly, and set a foundation for future annual reports and ESG publications. I gathered initial data and content, coordinated input and sign-off from multiple stakeholders, and collated everything into a cohesive narrative. As one of the first large-scale documents under the new brand, I created bespoke components including infographics, charts, statistic callouts, case study layouts, and illustrations, resulting in an accessible and engaging publication that will define the approach for future reports.

Project Five: This monthly Manager Cascade presentation was designed to help managersshare key business updates with their teams in a clear, consistent, and engaging way. Developed on behalf of managers, the deck simplifies complex information into digestible content that can be presented with minimal preparation. The design prioritises clarity, accessibility, and ease of use, while incorporating strong calls to action to encourage engagement and drive awareness of company initiatives. Created as a repeatable format, the presentation provides a consistent communication experience across the business each month.

Project Six: This project involved creating the brand identity for the company’s staff awards programme, developing a visual identity that aligned with the group brand while establishing its own distinct personality. The brand needed to work across a wide range of applications, from nomination campaigns and digital communications to the live awards event itself. I developed the identity from concept to rollout, including the logo, campaign assets, email graphics, nomination materials, online forms, event presentation, presenter cue cards, and award artwork. The brand was then extended into post-event communications through social media and internal coverage, creating a cohesive presence from nominations through to winner announcements and celebrations.

Brand Identity | Campaign Design Event Branding | Social Media Internal Communications

Project Seven: This page showcases a range of social media content created across the group’s brands, including business updates, company achievements, employee stories, service promotions, and data-led content. The aim is to communicate key messages in a clear, engaging format while maintaining consistency across a varied content calendar. Each design is created with platform behaviour in mind, using strong visual hierarchy, concise messaging, and attention-grabbing layouts to capture interest quickly and encourage engagement with the accompanying content. While each brand maintains its own identity, shared design elements create a sense of connection across the wider group, balancing individuality with a cohesive brand family.

Project Eight: This exhibition stand was designed for a sector conference as part of a wider suite of event marketing materials. The design needed to align with existing brand collateral while being tailored to the event audience and exhibition environment. I managed the project from concept to artwork delivery, collaborating with business development colleagues and event delegates to ensure messaging aligned with business objectives. This included selecting imagery, adapting designs to different stand formats and specifications, and producing assets including shell schemes, roller banners, and display materials. The result was a cohesive event presence that could be applied consistently across multiple exhibitions and venues.
