Who is Franco Moschino? Born in Abbiategrasso, Lombardy, February 22, 1950, Franco Moschino is known as Moschino’s, founder. He also founded his Maschino Couture label in 1923. Originally designing casual wear and jeans, he quickly expanded to a more diverse audience. He originally started off free-lancing for Versace, and then later as a designer for numerous other fashion houses. He made it a personal goal from the very beginning to criticize the materialistic nature of the fashion industry and to portray a sense of humor In everything he designs.

Inspiration/Influences
Known for his unusual and innovative designs, Moschino was known for tapering with unheard of new methods. Experimenting with different fabrics and shapes, each technique shared similar forms, but with different styles. He also mimicked other top fashion trends into his collections. Although he mocked many of the fashion industries styles and trends, his crude behavior lead him to success.

Inspired by pop culture, his designs are a cross between hand craft and logo mania. His goal for all of his creations being put out into he world is to spread joy and happiness. He understands it seems such a cliché thing to say, but he believes that it’s necessary. Jeremy Scott also believes in incorporating the “now” in today’s fashion.
