Wrighton Furniture Dressing Table Upcycle Furniture Flip Summary
Motivated by the desire to enhance my practical skills and explore my abilities, I stumbled upon a free Wrighton dressing table through Facebook Marketplace. Despite its poor surface condition, I recognized the craftsmanship and intricacy of the joinery, making it an ideal candidate for upcycling.
To infuse a touch of contemporary style and introduce a vibrant focal point, I opted for a sage green paint that I airbrushed on, that I paired with gold plated handles. The choice of color adds a fresh and modern twist to the piece. Additionally, I reupholstered the fabric in the jewellery slots, ensuring it harmonised seamlessly with the chosen color scheme.

To showcase the intricate joinery and draw attention to the fine details, I intentionally left the joinery and insides of the drawers unpainted. The natural wood tones created a pleasing juxtaposition with the earthy green paint, establishing a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic. In my restoration process, I repaired the mechanism and cleaned the mirror to restore its original charm and make it appear as good as new. Through this upcycling endeavor, I not only gained valuable practical skills but also breathed new life into a neglected piece of furniture, transforming it into a stunning and functional addition to any space.
