Who Is EMI? EMI is a non-profit Christian development organization made up of architects, engineers, surveyors, technologists, and construction managers. We believe in appropriate, safe, sustainable design that fits the local context; in developing people spiritually and professionally; and in connecting people of all nations to show the unity we have in Christ. We use our skills to serve people worldwide through the design of hospitals, schools, water systems, and many other facilities. Together, we design a world of hope.
How Does EMI Serve? EMI Mobilizes Teams EMI-led teams of architects, engineers, surveyors, and technologists go on 1-2 week trips to visit the project location and begin the design work.
Teams Create Designs Working alongside our host ministries, EMI teams complete site surveys, produce conceptual designs for master plans, buildings, and infrastructure, estimate construction costs, and deliver summary reports.
Designs Empower Ministries EMI design services enable ministries to construct facilities that are appropriate, safe, cost-effective, and contextual.
Ministries Transform Their Communities EMI-designed facilities become the appropriate and safe setting where a ministry will change the lives of those in need.
