Real generosity to the future lies in giving all to the present.
ALBERT CAMUS

Dear Donors,

As we reflect on a memorable year at All Saints, our thoughts inevitably turn to gratitude to you, our donors, for believing in our school and showing your commitment through financial support. You all have many choices as you consider donating to worthy non-profit organizations. All Saints is humbled that so many of you have chosen to support the education our school provides with your gifts. Every day we witness the impact of the All Saints educational experience on approximately 400 students. Your donations directly benefit the excellent education provided by our faculty and sta .

With open hearts, you have given:

To The Fund for All Saints

To the Middle School Renovation

To Scholarship Funds

To support continuing education for teachers

…and to move All Saints forward in many other ways.

Collectively you gave over $980,000 throughout this past year. We are amazed by your unfailing responses to the needs of our school. With full hearts, we thank you.

We celebrate 98.8% of current families and 100% of faculty, sta , and Board of Trustees members who participated in The Fund!

An excellent school like All Saints requires resources beyond the funds provided by tuition to thrive. Our Board of Trustees work hard to set tuition at a level that is within reach for our families while maintaining faculty salaries at a competitive level. Most of your tuition goes directly to pay our outstanding faculty and sta . Our Board prioritizes:

Campus safety and security

Leading-edge technology

Professional development opportunities for faculty

State-of-the-art facilities

An exceptional fine arts program

Exemplary curriculum in all disciplines and grade levels.

The price tag for all these elements is steep, but we can all agree that our students deserve nothing less. Tuition funds do not cover all the costs of educating students at All Saints. The Fund for All Saints primarily fills this financial gap. The Fund has a long history of sustaining our school and keeping it at the forefront of educational excellence in Southeast Texas.

The success of The Fund 2023-24 was due to the hard work of a volunteer committee led by Larae and Ross Jones The committee was comprised of parents, alumnae, board members, and faculty volunteers. Thanks to Larae and Ross’s leadership, our volunteers persistently worked to secure almost every family’s support of the school through The Fund. Larae and Ross were cheered on by their

“We love every day we spend at All Saints. Our children are blessed to have this place where they can learn and grow, surrounded by people who love and encourage them. We are continuously inspired by the dedication of teachers, administrators, coaches, and sta who are always a joy to work with. The Fund for All Saints is crucial in creating that exceptional experience, and we are so honored to have served as chairs this year. Our wonderful team of volunteers put forth a phenomenal e ort on behalf of our kids, and we are glad to have such like-minded parents on campus for projects like this.”

LARAE

children Millie Jane and Wiley.

The Joneses wrote letters, made contacts, and provided loads of enthusiasm in their roles. Faculty, sta , Board members, and major donors enjoyed a beautiful party at their home last fall, which was a lovely celebration of the great success of this year’s drive. Many thanks to Larae and Ross and our volunteers for spearheading a hugely successful campaign.

Honorary Grandparents for this year’s Fund campaign were Joy and Will Crenshaw. They are the proud grandparents of All Saints students Charleston and Mary Virginia. The Crenshaws have a long history of support for our school, as all four of their children graduated from All Saints. Now the tradition continues with their grandchildren. Whenever a need arises,

“Every donation we have given has been well used and needed

as

tuition cannot

provide teacher training, new playgrounds, updated curriculum and technology, enhanced security and sports facilities.

These enriching aspects of an All Saints education are made possible by The Fund for All Saints, and we were proud to serve as Honorary Grandparents for this e ort.”
JOY AND

WILL CRENSHAW

the Crenshaws can be counted on to give generously of their resources and from their hearts. We are grateful for their steadfast loyalty and support of All Saints.

To each family, grandparent, alum, faculty member, and others who donated to

The Fund, thank you for being All In this together!

With gratitude, Melanie Heartfield Director of Advancement

The success of The Fund for All Saints is due to the dedication of a committee of volunteers who contacted every family to encourage participation:

Philanthropy at All Saints Episcopal School

Over its 70-year history, All Saints has been blessed with a strong culture of philanthropy. Our community understands that healthy finances and successful strategic planning require ongoing fundraising. Donors will find various avenues to direct their gifts, from funding scholarships to supporting faculty growth and development. Opportunities for donating to our athletic program or giving to our Parent Association events are available as well. Whatever your interest, we will find an area of giving that resonates with you. The door to the Advancement O ce is always open to assist you with your gifts.

MIDDLE SCHOOL RENOVATION

Students and Teachers Thrive In New Space

Our Middle School building desperately needed interior remodeling and updating. It was the only classroom building on campus lacking the environment for 21st century learning. The Board of Trustees prioritized the Middle School renovation, and we began working with Library

Interiors of Texas on designs. Renovations were completed in the summer of 2023, and students and teachers were thrilled to begin classes in a brand-new interior space in August 2023.

It is with gratitude that we acknowledge the major donors to the Middle School renovation:

AnAll Saints education is an investment and can financially strain families. Several years ago, the Board of Trustees recognized the importance of building a strong tuition assistance program to help missionappropriate students thrive at All Saints. Thanks to two more major gifts by Diane and Don Shaver and Sheila Umphrey, the Fund is well on its way to its $5 million goal.

Studio 54 Lives Again

April Lindsay and Molly Moore were the creative and dynamic leadership duo who brought the famous ‘80s New York City Disco to life to benefit All Saints. Suite C was the setting for a night filled with music, disco balls and lots of shiny outfits. The result was a memorable party that raised significant funds for All Saints. Congratulations to Molly, April and their committed volunteers for a hugely successful gala!

During the intense heat and drought of summer 2023, the air conditioning units in the PK building quit working. To assist with the cost of replacing these units just in time for school to begin, the Mamie McFaddin Ward Heritage Foundation generously approved our request for $32,700. The grant reflects this foundation’s long history of generosity and All Saints is truly grateful! We would like to give Special Thanks
